The expression now tentatively AFFECTED takes it very easy.
It's "home-made" or "home made". And further to that the statement "No, it does not need to be hyphenated, spendi" might mean something in the USA, the assertion being as popular as it is due to the hegemonical mindset it produces, but it means nothing to me. We are giving up on hegemony.
And it is rather naff to patronise a seasoned acronymer by defining "home-made" for him as if he is an effing primary schoolboy.
And fancy citing "homemade bread" as an example when you have typed it.
