@firefly,
TENTATIVE

The expression now tentatively AFFECTED takes it very easy.

It's "home-made" or "home made". And further to that the statement "No, it does not need to be hyphenated, spendi" might mean something in the USA, the assertion being as popular as it is due to the hegemonical mindset it produces, but it means nothing to me. We are giving up on hegemony.

And it is rather naff to patronise a seasoned acronymer by defining "home-made" for him as if he is an effing primary schoolboy.

And fancy citing "homemade bread" as an example when you have typed it.

That's absolutely ridiculous ff.

@firefly,
Roget gives "home-made. As does the 3,952 page (2 vols) Shorter Oxford. Both of which I have to hand. But I think "home made" is okay. I would only argue for "home-made" if I had made an understandable error and my pride would not allow me to admit it. That's probably how "colour" became "color" and football became stupid and how Iraq came to have WMDs.

COUNTERFEIT.
