@Dutchy,
"Gadabout" is a noun. The verb phrase is two words, i.e., "gad about." Otherwise, it's a cute acro. Wink

@Caterpillar,
Thank you for the kudo Caterpillar. 'GADABOUT' is shown in my large Chambers Crossword Dictionary as one word and one of the synonyms given is 'pleasure-seeker' hence my choice of words. Wink

@Dutchy,
Granted, Dutchy. However, "pleasure-seeker" is a noun, as is "gadabout." My point was that you used it as a verb, in which case it should have been two words, which, of course, it couldn't be because there's no "a" in "egg."
I do want to thank you for your gracious reply to my message. I took a risk sending it. There are many forum dwellers who would have bittten my head off. You are a gentleman and a sweetie.

@Dutchy,
Dutchy - this is wild- you read my mind. I was sitting here at the computer looking for a picture that I know I took of my house to send to my sister-in-law because she asked to see where we live and flipping onto a2k reading and thinking, 'It's getting late, I should do my sit ups and go to bed' but thinking about skipping the sit-ups and lo and behold - looked at your acronym- now I can't skip them- I'll feel too guilty.
So fifty sit-ups before I go to bed and you can take all the credit...

SILENCE

Sit-ups invariably lead excercisers nearer CALESTHENIC excellence.

BTW Inchoate Butterfly--you're new I think. Greetings.

There are no rules on here as Dutch said. It's for fun. It's mainly a Yin/Yang mutual piss taking pantomime. An expression of profound admiration really.

But there is an etiquette. It frowns on X,Y, and Z. Un-necessarily possibly as names can always be used. It was once contrary to good form to use names when Clary was ruling here but I soon put a stop to that nonsense. She disliked "e"s too.

It's okay to do your own if nobody's been on for a while.

I hope you enjoy Acronyms.
