Those slippers... gosh, you'd have to kick me and remind me to breathe - luverly, just loverly....

@Tai Chi,
Morning crew. doing fine dear Izzie, walked along the Esplanade this morning, very refreshing that sea breeze! Stopped at a coffee shop and had a nice mug of cappuccino with carrot cake which warmed me up.

Hope your limbs have loosened up Izzie ang you can get around enjoying the things you want to do. Pleased to know you and Tulips family had a great time over the weekend, Poor S-boy missing his friends, how far do you live from Tulip's?

Tai Chi have been following your school project with interest, sounds adventurous, are you very isolated up there?

Wandel how dare you mention wet 'T" shirts on those respectable ladies, that was the furthest thing from my mind. Wink

Hi mismi, sorry the boys lost, my grand daughter lost the final too, all good for character building, learning to lose with grace is something that will come them in good stead. (((mismi)))

Cheers all.

Funny you should say that...their mama is the one that needs to learn to lose with grace. I was keeping the books up in the box when the girl keeping the others team's book was talking to her mother. She said, "we only need one more run and they will call the game."

It pissed me off. I stood up and hollered as loud as I could, "THREE UP THREE DOWN RED SOX - PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE!!!!!".

Yeah...not one of my prettier moments. And we ended up losing and I had to go tell them good game......then I think I remember saying something about it would have been a better game had we shown up to play - yeah - that was bad too I know. Of course I am embarrassed now. I have no control over my mouth when I get mad.

Thankfully, they thought it was funny and are still my friends. Really hate it when I behave that way - truly though...I feel possessed by someone other than myself when I blurt out horrid things.

((Dutchy)) I will try to be more gracious!

Izzie - take care of yourself. I know you had a great weekend and I am so glad you had fun. ((Izzie))

Good to see you all...
going to bed.
so tired.

@mismi,
Hey Crew

ahhhhhhhhhhhh Mis, you made me smile again - I know you're prolly wishing you hadn't called out and all - but ya know, the competitive spirit you've got is to be admired ... I don't believe for one second anything you say would be nasty. I remember when Rboy used to play football - we would be on the sidelines week in, week out hollering for the kids (we weren't allowed to scream for R coz it upset him or drew attention to him) but we did for the other kids. R was always the goal scorer and it was so difficult not be woot wooting so loudly, he hated being praised in anyway - which of course we did but then had to really rein ourselves in. In rugby with S - well, that's a whole different matter - it's a case of "hand him off", "take out his legs" - HUGELY COMPETITIVE - but the phraseology sounds darn right mean.

The good thing is - as you say - you're friends know you and are your FRIENDS - the most important thing to remember Mis, is to enjoy their wins and their defeats - it is character building for them - but it's also not bad to have a tad of arrogance when playing - if you are good - YOU ARE GOOD - and the little kids should feel good about themselves and take pleasure if they are gifted in sport...or anything. Lots of encouragement girlie.

BEAgle - glad you have been on some little walks and all is well Down Under Wink Tulip lives just under 20 miles away up the other side of the moors so it's not too far - the kids don't get to see each other during the week but we try and make sure it's each or every other weekend. Half term next week so they'll be spending time together then. Things have also changed - FQsis is now coming here for half term ( did I write that already)... so that is gonna be fab. It means I won't have to drive up to London and beyond - which is quite good because my feet and joints are really not co-operating at all right now Sad Take good care (((D))) Here's the song I wanted to play for you.......... little LIAM - he's gonna be a star...14 years old

bless that little boy.....

jw - love the picture of Annie with her clarinet on CJ's thread - gosh, how she's growing up - such a beaming smiley little girl - she looked so proud to be sitting up there - well done Annie Very Happy

MaMaVerby - hope all is good with you and things are on the up - any news yet? Still keeping everything crossed for you and a move back... (((((((Ind))))))) x

Soooooooooooooooo, another beautiful day here - hot and sunny - I went out into the garden and found a dead RAT by the table... OMGawsh - this thing was mahousive!!!!!!!!!!!! it's now fish food... nasty big rat with gert big teeth!!!!!! That could only have been my black fellaz kill - Murphy wouldn't be big and brave enough to take that one on! Oof.

Little fella is home with me today - he's in bed - has coughed and spluttered all night and is very tired, still has a slight fever - he coulda prolly made it to school but after listening to him 'bark' throughout the night, I decided staying home for the day was a better option. Hopefully then he'll enjoy the rest of the week at school before he breaks up for the week.

OK - gonna go and do for a bit... will catch y'all later - wishing everyone a fabulous day Very Happy

(oooooooooooh wonder if our POMcT is back from his trip yet)

((((((Alexchap))))) - whachoo up to hun - how does your garden grow? Talking of which - (((Didge))) - how did you're raised beds come on?

((((Bethie)))) thinking of you girl - love and love and love xxx

I gotta go bed................................... so tired...

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

@Izzie,
Hi Izzie, just caught you before you go to bed, must thank you for that lovely version of 'Oh Danny Boy', that lad cerainly shows promise. How is S-boy feeling today, a little better?

Lots of rain downunder and I'm staying close to the fire. LOL Later on though must venture out and visit some friendly nurses. Smile

Dear mismi I don't think you're bad sport at all, just sticking up for your boys, you have the sweetest of nature I'm sure of that, Wink

About to make Mrs.B and myself an early morning cuppa.

Hear about the next Marquis of Londonderry?

He's the Londonderry heir.

I just made that one up.
Can you tell?

Izzy, top marks for the photos, and 110% for the water droplet.

Tuesday. May. Time. Current bopping fuzz ball swan babies grand appearance.
Roots with boots avoided.
Boots with roots also dodged.
Typing/learning all fingers. Not a pecker anymore.
Hello Izzie and hello all. I read back, and up a bit. Always a joy.
I have been busy, no complaints. I have a few mini trips approaching. Travel sized shampoo and toothpaste bottles fun.
Garden, (s) basking in the yellow glow as I type. Have most in ground.
Rabbitzilla is back. Pondering options.
Should there be any.
Thumb still works, all the feeling is back.
Serving warm almond pound cake, with mixed berry reduction atop, and a scoop of ice cream, on yabbers back deck.

Have a nice day.

@mismi,
Hi crew, all well downunder except a bit cool for the Bosun, love it much warmer. Unbelievably we had another incident whereby a pram with baby rolled of a railway station platform in front of an oncoming train. The toddler escaped with only a few scratches. Same thing happened 7 months ago.

@mismi,
I am having panic attacks today. I have a pool party after school that I had to call and turn down (there will be a crying little boy getting off the bus Sad ). A spend the night party to get my child to (the one who is not playing in All Stars) so he can enjoy his night. Two games at 4:30 that I need to have two different children at in two different parks and The Prof. has a meeting and cannot help.

I have e-mailed, called folks and still have no solution to my being at two places at one time. Breathe.

Somebody has got to be late...now...to decide which one.

This summer is not the happy place it usually is. I don't like it.

@mismi,
Me too Mis... Ima here too and really oughta be doing something more constructive Razz

Hey Crew

Sorry not to have been around of late - I'm struggling terribly with fatigue at the moment and am knocked for six.... darn darn joints - nasty business. Anyhoo - am resting a lot - A LOT... work, home, rest, eat, rest, sleep-ish, work.

BUT NOW - WE HAVE BROKEN UP FOR HALF TERM. YAY!

So, FQsis is coming down on Sunday'ish which is going to be fab. Hoping to get together with Tulip too over the next week and just have a little bit of fun. FQ's not been too well - so she's gonna be having some R&R here - keeping fingers crossed the weather will stay good.

Now, having told y'all how bl**dy exhausted I am... guess what... I have arranged to take 16 of my children sailing - HOW FAB IS THAT. Hopefully I will persuade at least 8 parents to take it up too so they can learn to sail. It's going to be GREAT! Once a week after half term we will all go to a very massive lake near here and they will each have a little sail boat. I will have a speed boat - HOW BRILL IS THAT? My hands are so rubbish right now that I don't think I'll be able to sail - but I do like the sound of the speed boat! OMLAWD - can you imagine? ahahahhhahahha

AND

guess what

I secured £10K for my school for Access To Work and we are having 3 new powered doors, a wheelchair ramp, some renovations to the office... and all from a little talking nicely (with a little bit of positive pushing) to some people who hold the purse strings at County Hall - I've got the commitments from them and the work will be done in the summer holidays. The school will only have to meet around £2.5K from the capital budget - but will have soooooooooo much work done which will hugely benefit the premises and assist with our Disability Audit - excellent news, excellent. It will make work life a lot easier for me - and I also feel a little less guilty about the amount of time I had off with surgeries in the past. My boss is very happy. Poor thing - she's exhausted too - I wouldn't be a Headteacher for love nor money!!!!!!!!!! She does long hours - she's hanging out for a break right now.

So, that's me for the moment. Very pleased to see y'all aboard and still sailing along.

(((BEAgle))) - glad you are going for little walks and taking it easy.. will give you a ding-a-ling when FQ is here and we'll catch up. Love to you and Mrs B. xx

Hey POMcT - ah, there you iz! Ahhhhh...the droplet was a bubble - but that's a kinda droplet - if you look closely you can see my whole world in one tiny bubble - LOVE THAT - the reflection is toooo cool! Hope all is good in your world and that all is well with your Cabin Boy. Hugs to you both. xx

AlexChap - oh you've been so missed Very Happy You have a wild wabbit - we need a pic!!!!!!!! Is he munching all the plants Wink Dandelion sweeper - your garden will thank him. Glad thumb is better and even more glad you are going on some travels - have the very best time - let us know how you fare. Love love... x

((Letty)) - oh lovely pics with that music. Very soothing. I finally got youtube to accept my pics - but they took my music away so I had to swap it with one of their pre-approved ones. Will go over and put it on the radio next - it's to do with the sea. xx

RH - ah - did you fly to 'Bama Wink Glad things are going well in KS and that the farm is coming along nicely. Positive thoughts for your new ventures. Scritch the kitties for me please. x

Missy - how did you go thisavo - did it all work out OK. I hope you get to rest tonight and get a little bit of a lay in tomorrow. Rest sweet Mis... rest. love you. x

JPB - ooooooh - I have been so lax with my emails - hoping you're back up and running - missing you always. Loving you heaps. x

(((((((Bethie))))))) - thinking of you, (((HIM and Hamburger))) - you've been in my thoughts and I'm sending you love... special full moon tonight - you're right there in my heart today and always.

(((Boida))) - gonna put my black kitty over on the beautiful animals. He's so lovely, my shadow. He's right beside me now.

(((Blue))) xox x

Hoping the rest of our crew are well and safe in the world. Lovin' y'all
