Busy busy day at work - 2 of us trying to compile data. Had to go and pick my car up from the city. GUESS WHAT.....

remember the RAC man said it didn't need to go back to the garage... well, guess what, it did - they replaced a manifold inlet... it would have cost over a £1000 if the car was out of warranty (which is 15 Feb)... they were so lovely when I went in - everyone smiled and said hello - we had a bit of a chinwag - then I left them to it and drove off in my LOVELY car. Oh, I DO LOVE MY CAR. So happy to have it back.

I've got to go to the dentist tomorrow but that's not a problem because it's only for a checkup and that's free in this country but do you know what the problem is??? Like an eedjit I arranged it for 09:00 and since he's about 40 minutes drive away, say 60 minutes in the rush hour like it's going to be then, that means I've got to get up before seven, that's what the problem is but still, I'll have loads of time to do stuff when I get back so that's great!!!

no, no... I don't live anywhere near the metro DC area. I spoke to a staffer yesterday who lives there. They haven't been able to leave their house since Saturday and are expecting another foot of snow today. Our foot of snow isn't back-to-back with another storm and we're more than used to these kinds of things (she says as she sends the sick Mr B out to shovel the driveway for the second time today).

I think maybe he's coughing his head off as he heads out for my benefit.

Busy day. G-baby is not feeling any better. It seems he is just so tired. I don't know whether to tmake him go to school or not tomorrow. Eh. I HAVE to work. Two people from work had family die this last weekend so we are so shorthanded. I am so sad for them. It will be tough for a while for them.

I have been collecting things for an art show at the school this month. We have a silent auction and I go to the businesses and get freebees to auction. Guess what I scored today? A $200 bottle of Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape. That is fun. Pure and simple. I love getting things for free.

I have to go figure out supper.

Just know my thoughts are with you all. Dutchy as he visits with family, Izzie - most definitely you, love, Tsars and his new job, JPB you and your poor family (I hope you stay free of it and they feel better soon), All of you I haven't mentioned as well...thoughts are with you.

but I know that whoever jumps aboard here, does so just because they want to and for no other reason... it's because we all care, in our ways, for the folk here and roundabout.

healing thoughts to G-baby - hoping his asthma attack doesn't flare up... do you think that could be related before... has an asthma attack, the gets poorly. That only just occured to me, maybe the attack sets off or lessens his immunity.... or could be he just picked up the bug. Boyz will be boyz.... can be manky little creatures. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tough on your colleagues, I know we all then have this need to fill in to help... try not to overdwork hun, we don't want you getting sick and run down too. How the Professor getting on with his job????? Stability forming? xxxxx

Oh Iz, he LOVES his job. Which is great. He comes home a little too happy now. Sheesh...drives me nuts. He and the boys and the dogs running around here like crazy people. Oh the ruckus. But it is good. It is not as stressful...but that's why it doesn't pay as much. That is fine. We are just having to learn to do with less. Which is good. We certainly have everything we need. But it seems I have adopted another child. Which can be entertaining. And sometimes I feel like putting them ALL in time out. The Prof. as well.

Izzie - I think you are on to something with G-baby. I may keep him out of school tomorrow just in case. He is just so tired and it may be that his oxygen levels are low again. I just need to get him checked out I think.

Well not quite free I found out sixteen quid is all though but that's not too much to pay for a clean bill of health eh. I was a dental delight, Gordon the dentist was very pleased with me.
