Waves to crew
@Barry The Mod,
waves back.
crazy-busy week this week.
gotta run...
wait.
what day is it?
I'm running around like that proverbial chicken. The only problem is I haven't figured out if I'm a head looking for a body or the other way 'round.
hasta, folks.
Stay warm (or cool if down under), stay safe, and above all be well!
Ok the blizzards have started again! My daughters school closed at 12 noon to get them home before the bad weather! I haven't got to work for a week now! managed to get car out to do some shopping this morning before the weather closed in! Not sure what is happening tomorrow yet!
So am keeping warm inside now! Lucky escape for my car - my neighbour had a slate fall from her roof this morning and would have hit my car had I not put it in the garage!!
So hoping all is safe on the ship dearsXX
@annis,
Evening Crew...
oh my - there was a lot going on last night on the deck a? Mis - did you sleep? BEAgle - you sang beautifully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You crooner you. Rock - I had my hot choc.
Well, I wakened warm - my boiler is working fine so that's happy. No worries at all.
Been working all day and time for a rest, a quick cuppa at least, but have got some yawn reading to do for risk assessments. Bit blizzardy here - but it's sleet - we're thawing now tho the temps are dropping a bit now it's dark. Not sure if the high ground is snowy... but it's not as bad as they predicted earlier, certainly not here in the valley. School's gonna make a decision after "milking time"

- i.e. after 7.30pm and the cows are put to bed - then he'll (Chair Of Govs) will take a look at the road and see if it's thawed enough. The temp in the school yesterday was 8 degrees - we have to have a minimum of 18 degrees so they've whacked the heaters up and hopefully it will be fine if we can open tomorrow.
Tulip - you take care up there - karma for the car methinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bet you're excited about picking the new bluemobile up on Friday - YAY! x
Bazza - OH - WILL YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH OH OHO OHOOHOHOO.......
JPB - whooooooooooooa - slow down girlie - and breathe.........OK.......off you go again

Have a great day x
(((((((Blue)))))))))xox
catch y'all in a bit... work work work to do...
Oy vey iz mir!
Like a bad penny I always return; much like the crew of the RCAF 'Bad Penny' who did the test run to launch operation 'Manna' in which they flew over enemy territory to Holland where they dropped food to the starving Dutch.
(Not that I'm implying that Dutchy over indulged you understand).
The US were not initially involved due in no small part to the fact that I misheard the name as 'mañana' so I was always waiting for tomorrow!!! However a few US flights were made in the final week of the war.
I only mention this because it confirms the fact that: Manna (Hebrew: מָן) or Manna wa Salwa (Arabic, Persian, Urdu), sometimes or archaically spelled mana, is the name of a food which, according to the Bible, was eaten by the Israelites during their travels in the desert. It was said to be sweet to the taste.
In the description in the Book of Exodus, manna is described as being available six mornings a week, after the dew had evaporated. It is described in the Book of Numbers as arriving with the dew during the night; Exodus adds that manna was comparable to hoarfrost in size, similarly had to be collected before it was melted by the heat of the sun.
So there you have it; If you have a cold whore during the night; make sure you make an exodus before sunrise!!!
So, my dear sweet friends...ok, dear friends...how about; fellow thespians?
Shoot! OMYWORD! Did I Just Say That?: Oh. Did I Miss Christmas? Tucked around the haphazard packages of Christmas cheer, wedged in between trays of moist turkey breast and peaking from behind the backs of jovial snowmen..... nature breathed a huge sigh of relief.
People were busy, some people had to brave ice storms to make their way to loved ones, some were busy cleaning for a holiday jamboree, some were wrestling terrorists to the ground aboard airplanes and some like my idiot pilot were celebrating news of a new baby entering the clan.
No, this isn’t a post about “qi” in our universe (by the way, that’s an incredibly helpful word when playing scrabble.) This isn’t a post about the beauty of creation echoing the magnificence of traditional Southern Comfort Egg Nog. No; this is a simple hillbilly homecommin', and I be mighty glad to see y'all.
What I wonder has been occurring? Oh yes I know I could read back over the last 600 pages; or I could just rely on the old A2k rumor mill for my information...and due to restrictive covenants'; I choose the latter!
However, may I first off wish y'all a belated but nevertheless heartfelt good wishes for the forthcoming year, and that also includes those born North of the Mason-Dixon Line. Yes. I know that shows up a flaw in my character; a sensitive caring side, but I hope it is only a momentary aberration.
In the meantime, my commiserations to those suffering from the inclement weather, it is always a mild constant temperature down here, but unless you like pizza; living in a sewer is not everybody's cup of Earl Grey.
I shall be holding a symposium on the part the freezing weather plays in global warming, all are cordially invited.
BTW: If anyone sees Wandel, please let it be known that I consider the reputed $60.000. bucks he spent on his makeover , money well invested.
Hasta Manana, amigos.
Ps: Brooke, positive thoughts for your father; miracles do happen.
Pps: Missy; so sorry to hear you are now forced to live in penury. Try to keep the children well shod, I have some spare blankets in the scary attic should temperatures drop further.
Ppps: Dear Izzie, I did so miss you; is it true you have a bun in the oven?
Ahhhh! Warm bread and a bowl of chicken soup.....Laters dudes.
Addendum: Congrats Tulip, glad you had a good time, enjoy your new auto.
