@JPB,
Indeed staying well JPB. Accidentally bad aimed coffee pour into cup provided sticking surface on rim, just to have not looking teaspoon sugar mock a tequila glass. I could get use to that.

Hope the Izzatons recover rapidly.

Hello Dutchy, Mismi, Annis and crew.

Indian summer will not stop. No complaints. Parsley, one of the rose bushes, and the lavender think it is spring.

Good day.

@alex240101,
Auburn. HUGE rivalry. Even though Bama is a top ranked team (are they #2 now in the BCS standings?), you never know who is going to win this game...though Bama has a distinct advantage over Auburn. Auburn looked good at the beginning of the season...but fell apart quickly. We'll see...should be a fun game anyway.

What game are you looking forward to Alex?

@mismi,
Iowa versus Ohio state. Both five and one, in conference. One and two ranked Big Ten.
In the BCS, Iowa is ranked tenth,...Ohio State,..eleventh.

I will be watching Auburn put the hurt Alabama too.

Hey all,

have just spoken to the captain! She sounds dreadful but is at least talking (sounds like her Mum Laughing ! - made her smile!) She is still on tablets and weak. She can just about stand some light but not really bright lights as this hurts her head too much. They wanted to take her to hospital yesterday but she wouldn't have it! They thought she had meningitis! Izzie's work is being less than helpful and are threatening to get rid of her, nice eh! She is bloody good at what she does and it is just not right. Ok she has been off but she more than makes up for it. They don't know a good worker when they see one! Evil or Very Mad

My daughter is a little better, lost a lot of weight and still dizzy but I hope she is on the way to recovery. Fboy still has a sore arm but will be going to school tomorrow. I can not go to work need to look after daughter!

I have missed my classes today for massage and it was a very important one so not sure I will now pass my exam! Will have to see, I did ring the college and try to explain.
Love to all, keep safe X

@annis,
Oh no! Our poor Izzie! Gosh, I feel awful. I should be immediately demoted to the lowest of lowly deck hands!!! Feel better, Iz! Lots of love and good wishes winging your way.
Hi, all. I'm ba-ack! The Hyde to my Dr. Jekyl is gone, at least for the time being and I'm not gonna look back! Good to see you all and good to be seen!
Hope our verby is doing well with her little one and y'all are all peachy keen. It's actually a lovely sunny November day here in the big mitten, almost 50 degrees which is kind of unheard of for this time of year. Wishing you all sunshine! Very Happy

@annis,
Thanks for the update, Tulip. I'm glad s-girl has turned the corner. I was worried about MizIzz trying to push herself to get to work today. Any school admin that wants sick employees showing up just to show up isn't thinking very clearly. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and things will get sorted.

Good luck on your exam. Does the school have any way for you to make up the missed material?

<Waves wildly to dev>

Enjoy your football youse guys! And this lovely fall weather too.

Ha... what more could a girl need; laptop, camera card reader and zzzz potion. I can’t even remember you taking that photo Razz That is so me a?

So sorry to have been AWOL " I can’t recall being this poorly for a long time (2 yrs ago actually). I got home from work yesterday and went rapidly downhill in the space of a couple hours. Basically, the main prob was a headhurt, but I also became photophobic and high temp " felt like my head was in a vice. G came over and called the doctor in (I’d pretty much gone off into no.idea.what’s.going.on.lalalala land) Doc apparently did all the obvious tests (for some nasties) and then filled me full of morphine, co prox and zzzzz potion in one taking Shocked Knocked out. Fer sure. ‘Til 3am when it started up again.

However, I am feeling MUCH better this evening, still a little unwell but not proper pooly " relatively human at least and have slept for the most part. District Nurse came today (no McT-she was not on a bicycle)" I didn't actually see her coz I had a pillow over my head coz she turned the lights on, but if there had been any real problem they would have rung me by now. So, I'm alright me - just a whus with a fever, very ughy cold sweats (pleasant a?) and shivers(nasty) " have a wee bit of a voice now and thanks to the pain killers, my head hurt is bearable. (not so yesterday). Thanku for all your concerns, I would have got online if I could, but I simply couldn’t focus at all and pretty much kept my eyes closed for the last 24 hours - was completely out of it " kinda scary feeling when you’ve no idea what’s going on and S-boy had got a little panicky. I don’t even remember seeing the doctor last night, know he was there but... prolly best forgotten anyhoo.

Briefly spoke (squeaked) to Tulip " hoping Sgirl is well on the road to recovery too " she has been so, so poorly. Now we just have to hope and pray that Fboy doesn’t get it... and Tulip of course. Tulip, glad we spoke today. I’m so sorry I couldn’t talk yesterday, I could hear S-boy talking to you, I just couldn’t focus or understand what was happening. Glad you spoke to G tho. Do drop the kids off with me tomorrow if you do decide to go to work " I really am heaps better and it would be no problem at all to have them. I promise.

Now, strange thing... my mom came over to take little fella to school, came back, picked up phone and pressed a button “missed call”. She was trying to phone G to find out if he was coming over (no no, he didn’t stay, bless him, he really doesn’t do “sick folk” not at all " quite right too, don’t want him to get this " anyhooo... mom being mom (technically challenged as her daughter is) pressed ‘last missed call’.... and apparently, there was Bazza was on the end. I could hear some kind of conversation going on " but was unaware of what she had done, as was she as she wittered down the phone to poor Bazza " I think she felt a bit of a doofus too, especially as she had discussed my medical history with the Harbour Master " who must have been tittering away up in London thinking “who the heck is talking down the phone, are they all barking mad in Devon” (you can’t get a word in edge wise with Mom " ohhh, there’s another similarity " that’s the only two tho). Hey ho. Apols Bazza for the confusion " but yay, my mom realises I am not quite so mad and the people online aren’t imaginary friends in my head. How weird that she called your number. Silver linings.

mismi wrote:

Mamaverb, Verbaby, Daddyverb...never far from my thoughts....need her to KNOW THAT! <3

She does Mis... she really does...

Managed to squeak to MaMaVerby too " felt dreadful for not calling her yesterday " Eby picked up the phone and it was lovely to hear his voice, tho... we had a language barrier so weren’t able to have a conversation really, did chuckle a little at trying to comprehend one another, and my voice is only just audible. So, I rang back a little later and spoke to MaMaverby.

Their little boy’s lung has collapsed. Now, I know that doesn’t sound too good, but this is not rare with a premie who has been and is being ventilated " keeping hopes and positivity going around the world " he’s fighting to keep going " bless that little boy. They are upping the parameters of the ventilator to help him and from what I understood, the doctors are confident that they can get the lung to reinflate by external massage. So, nothing invasive just yet... MaMaVerby continues to ask for everyones, prayers, wishes, hopes and posivibes and thanks everyone for what they are doing.

She did sound a tad stronger today, still exhausted and ever anxious with her little boy struggling so much - but she did her little laugh down the phone too when I asked her to go and hug her hubby as soon as she put the phone down to make up for not being able to talk with him properly. Love her, she’s a sweetheart.

It’s very much a day at a time for their little boy but doctors can do the most incredible things these days, yep, I would say that medical science and docs perform miracles every day (of course that makes no sense in written words, science = miracle, but hey ho), so, keeping very positive here for VerbyBaby and his Mom and Dad.

Kitties send their love McT hahahaha! Love to you both. Thanku " that pic made me smile big. X

OK.... so wishing I could respond to each and everyone’s posts " but I don’t think I can get my head together enough just yet.

Thanks all for thinking of us " definitely turned the corner, much much much better than yesterday, will be right as rain in no time. Just hoping S-girl will get better soon.

Thank you.

Hey Crew

POMcT - scotch pies and tattie scones.... mmmmmmm! Enjoy the Bonnie Land. x

Missy, Stormy, BEAgle et al... thanking you

I've taken a step back today, my cold seems to be coming out now - headhurt is less but still there - didn't feel too bad last nite, feel yuk this morning tho. BACK ACHE...horrible back ache, everything aches. Now I'm whining. So will quit.

Yesterday... no... Wednesday, the most amazing thing happened at school. Well, it's not that amazing, 'cept to me really. This litte fella paid a visit

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020159.jpg

an injured blue tit in the library, he needed some TLC!

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020160.jpg

So, he sat for a while in the palm of my hand and atop my desk, his little legs were all over the place,

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020161.jpg

then little blue started to come around a bit, checked his wings and legs were ok..

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020162.jpg

he grabbed ahold of my finger

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020163.jpg

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020164.jpg

took him back out to the wild area and he flew away safe and sound.

Such a tiny little boid. Precious.

k... can't concentrate any more so switching off for a bit ...

oh... had an email from our Indeedee - she is well, very busy and running out of hours in the day. PaPaDD is having a little more help these days and MaMaDD is doing well. Gkids and kids are all very well. Very Happy

@Izzie,
You are like Snow White. All the little birds and animals flock to you. Beautiful inside and out. That is amazing.

I am sorry you still feel yucky. I hate being sick. It screws everything up. Wishing you well soon!

I went to the bus stop in my pajamas and SOCKS this morning....yeah...it's been THAT kind of morning. It was 46 degrees F outside...I gotta quit that - soon that boys will die of embarrassment if I keep that up! They will be ashamed of me!

Well...I got that out of the way- maybe the rest of the day will be happier. We saw Where the Wild Things Are the other night. I loved it. The boys thought it was weird. It was a little slow for them I guess...But I loved that book growing up. Loved the pictures in it as much as anything. I thought they did a great job of bringing the monsters to life.

I saw a little of myself in each one of them! Wink

Hugs to all...have a great day.

@Dutchy,
Hey Crew

I've been in bed most of the day - oof.

BEAgle, you are sweating in the heat and I'm sweating out a cold (really not pleasant). Very much hoping it will cool down for all of the Down Unders. Try not to think about the AC costs - it's so important for you to keep cool and keep the doors closed. Are you likely to have power outtages like last year? Hoping not. Hard to imagine those temperatures darlin' - please, do stay chilled. How are our babies - are we still bearing fruit? x

We are in huge stormy weather systems at the moment - rain rain rain - the babbling brook is no longer babbling, but a torrent of brown muddy water straight off the moors and rising by the hour - and we've more to come overnight.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/devon/hi/people_and_places/nature/newsid_8359000/8359612.stm

Have battened down the hatches and hoping it will calm down a little here.

Missy - ah - well, I'm not so sure about being Snow White Wink but I can live in hope. My black kitty brought in a very wet Hunca Munca

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020168.jpg

no bigger than my thumb, tiny wee mooooouse. He'll survive another day methinks.

Hoping your day has been good Mis and the little fellaz are doing well. How is your bronchitus? Has it cleared up now? Hoping you are feeling good and you're all set for the weekend. How is Mobile? Hoping all are safe and secure down there. x

Ah Letty - I would very much like to meet you and your daughter in the future. I think we would have much to talk about and very much in common. x

Didn't manage to call MaMaVerby today - struggling to talk, but will call her tomorrow morning.......... ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmming and praying and ommmmmmmmmmmmming
