@alex240101,
Baby's 8 months old..it's alive...it's kicking. I was pretty normal..a lill exhausted and sleepy by the end of eth day..which i thot was normal....
in 1 week...both of us couldnt realize that i had bloated...my tummy that is..had there been any symptoms..pain..visual diff we wouldve rushed to the doc..nothing..i was pretty fine...i just had itching probs and felt tht i had developed rashes..and went to see the doc..
she felt ive bloated..she checked and said .when im in my 31st week..thr growth shows to be in 34th week.
she gave me hopes..it might be excess of fluid that can b reduced with tablets ..
saturday morning ths was...went for a scanning ..
scanning showed fluid has filled the babys body..and kidneys have hydropsis..
normally if parents are of + & - they have solutions it seems..here we obth are positive,,
evening we met another specialist...she said....it usually comes as a sequel ths hydropsis..it cant be just i n the kidney..got to be elsewhere..
and if it is spread which she ssays shes sure of..considering the 5 cases in the pawst 15 years experience...she suggests...termination..
i know she wsa preparing me...but..im shattered..
its 8 months..i was counting in ma hand 63 days..
i got a baby wrap..cream in color..as a gift.
we had finalised on the names....for either boy or girl..as they dnt tell us the gender here..
pray for a miracle..they say god gives us only what we can bear..its beyond bearable..i had adjusted the fact that i dnt get a mothers care...now..wen i was almost ready for a similar relationship with ma bundle they say all ths..

@verbivore,
Little One...

gentle gentle hugs

here, sweet child (((((((((((((((Vegemite))))))))))))))))

will be watching for you - messages left...

please try and rest - take deep breaths and try, at the moment, not to think too much of what may happen - you need to sleep first and talk with Eby when you have both rested. Your mind and body are reeling - you need time to take onboard what you've been told.

When are you next seeing your consultant?

Are you on bedrest?

Have you been put on any medication?

Can Eby's parents come back and stay with you?

Ind... there is nothing that we can say that is going to reassure you right now - you have to put your trust in the doctors/specialists and make any decisions with Eby. Ask questions, keep asking the specialists questions - get as much information as you can so you can make an informed decision- please try and talk with Eby. Rest first.

We're here to be with you any way we can, we can listen - I wish we could do more - I wish so much this wasn't happening to you and I'm so sorry you are having to endure this.

It must feel beyond bearable. It is. You need to be strong right now, a nigh on impossible task but you can do it, you need to rest, this will be so hard to do - you have to be strong to make this decision and to keep your faith and hope. Please don't make any decisions until you feel stronger. Keep talking Ind... please keep talking if you're able to.

Will keep hoping and keep you and your baby in my heart. Wishing you strength, wishing for a miracle.

love you I xxxx

@verbivore,
Hello Sweet Mamaverb...I lost my first baby. It was hard. There truly is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better about the possibility of something going wrong here. The best we can do is to be with you in spirit. You and your sweet baby are in my prayers. Do everything you are told. I am so very sorry to hear this. My heart is sad for you.

Love you sweet girl ....take care of yourself.

@mismi,
I need to tell you that I am believing that all will be well here. I have to. The other is just not fathomable. My second pregnancy was with the twins. At one of the ultrasounds I was told that Baby B (S) had too much fluid on the brain and had club feet. Theses were signs of Down Syndrome. My heart - like yours must be now, was broken. But - S was born without Down Syndrome - he had club feet but after many surgeries and casting and physical therapy...he is running and jumping and playing as a regular child would. He is a straight A student and I am blessed by him. Sometimes - it does turn out okay. Even when the dr's think it won't. You need to know this as well.

My love and thoughts are with you.

Verbs,I wiped away a tear whilst reading that.So close to the end and now a major hurdle.Get a second opinion then take the Doctors advice no matter how hard the decision.I've been there.My wife had complications and we had to make a decision to terminate.It aint easy! Including you,your bump and Eby in my prayers.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey Crew

I hope y'all are around... feel the need to hold someone's hand here - that's extra crew strength for those that need it...

(((((((((((((Vegemite)))))))))))))... keeping you in my thoughts and hoping to hear from you soon. Hoping. x

Bazza - good to talk to you today, needed that, thank you - can bubble a river a? I oughta learn how to play rugby again - I'm not much good at kicking into touch and can't quite get my boots on at the moment. It's like learning to tie your bootlaces, you keep trying and think you've got it sorted with a nice wee bow, 'til you realise the boots were tied together and you're tripped up again. It's a constant tackle, face down in the mud. There... said it. I know.

McTag - are you and FiB fully recovered now? Trusting all is back to normal in your world. x

BEAgle - how's Down Under? I read about the bushfires up in Queensland... what's the latest reports from up there?

Missy - how's your day girlie? Do you have half term like we do, where the kids are on holiday for the week, or are you working tomorrow?

Tulip - hope to see you when you can get over. Send my love to Mum please. x

((Blue)) too. xox

Back to hospital tomorrow to see the consultant - my toots look the same which is confusing me a little. My ankle is still sore, black and stitched together. Keeping it elevated as much as I'm able to.

@Letty,
Good afternoon ladies and gents.

I'm on my way out of the door to run a couple of errands.

I will have that Abba song (for better or for worse) replaying ad nauseum in my head now probably for the rest of the day. [sigh] Thanks Letty?! Wink

@Izzie,
Hello Izzie, Hello rest of the crew!

I work this week and next and the next...I think my next break is U.S. Thanksgiving at the end of November. Ugh. Time goes way too fast. It was a good day. Honestly - it's kind of like being a grandparent in I get the kids for 20 minutes of fun and get to give them back to their teacher. This is a very good thing!

I am glad you are getting that looked at tomorrow. Hope you hear good news. Take care of yourself.

I am going to rest up some. The Prof. just called and told me he was checking G-baby out of school. Asthma issues again. I have got to go get another little spacer for his inhaler so he can always have it at the school.

Have a good evening y'al..

@annis,
Morning crew, great to wake up to some nice music, thank you one and all.

Great car annis, you and the kids will enjoy that one, good choice and I don't think you're mad!

Izzie how are you coping at the moment, are things falling into place or on the ground? Hope all is well. Fires still burning in Q'land but no casualties.

Dear mismi hope your worries with G-baby are short lived, glad the Prof. came to your assistance.

Breakfast is ready so I better shown an appearance before Mrs.B does her rain dance. Laughing

Have a great day all.
