I hope those feet are fine today. Crutches are bad. I am sorry you are having to use them...my pits were sore when I had mine last year. But then someone told me I had them too high. oops. Got a little better once I lowered them. My hands hurt though. I should have just taken the pain meds and sat in the chair. But nooooooooo....learn from me. please. ((Izzie))

I've got "stuff" today. Lots of it. So...hopefully you won't see me here. If you do I am not doing what I am supposed to be doing. But I should be back this evening.

Hey Mis - yep, crutches that have special hand grips (for rheumatoid hands) and the top of the crutches forearm supports go around just under my elbows - it's there where they're pressing and I have a big lump each side just below the elbow which makes using them too sore. Trying to get some wheels sorted with the Red Cross - maybe tomorrow.

Have got my foot in the air and it's not too bad if it's elevated - only my ankle hurts tho - toes are still... well, nothing, don't even know they are there

FiB is persona non grata at the moment because I made her baked apples for tea tonight and she wasn't appreciative enough.

All jokes aside, I have a house full of visitors (all relatives) as my sister and husband returned early this morning from San Francisco. No time to get on computer but just now found an excuse to crank her up.

Good Morning Barry! The leopards are in honor of Roberta. She had surgery, I think it was this week...it's going so fast I find myself unsure at this early hour! But they are doing it for her. She is doing well from what I have read though. Thank goodness...I have a hard enough time putting up my sunshine. But she is in my thoughts and prayers as well...good to see you.

Dutchy! Guests! How fun is that? Enjoy every minute! I have company tomorrow too. Tennessee is playing Alabama and I fear my husbands team is going to get beaten. But there will be good food....and drunk

THANKU " thanku thanku... I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers thisavo for the attention of the Captain from the Harbour Master and crew! Gosh, did I smile! They are just gorgeous and I have one of those inane grins on my face now " I’m more like a Cheshire cat than a cheetah cub at the moment " I really don’t know what to say " except, thanku " Bazza " you’re a star.

It was great to talk with you " know you’ve gone to zzzz now so left a msg on your landline... it’s not often I’m speechless (ha, chance would be a fine thing for y’all) " but I was today when I received these flowers. Merci beaucoups. Xxxx

Ooooooooooh... loved baked apples, with the core out and stuffed with sultanas ... my Granny used to make them when I was a wee Iz of about 4 years old... ahhhhh.... lovely memories there. Hope you and FiB are back to being fighting fit and life is returning to normal.

Mis " remote controls " we have at least 3 broken ones here " I don’t even know what machines they are for. The TV is that old that you have to turn it on and off at the button and then press another button to make it work. Then, you have to find the remote which works the channels, and another to work the volume " no remote has a back and the batteries are always falling out. It’s all a bit of an effort. The sound on the TV blew on Saturday nite " so it sounds like it’s got a giant muffler on it " a quick thump on the top is resolving it for the moment " but... as it’s downstairs, and I’m upstairs " it’s not too much of a problem. I quite fancied watching a chick flick thisavo " but it’s so chilly downstairs and I feel bad for putting the heating on just to heat up the lounge to watch a movie " so at the moment I have the doona wrapped around me on my bed. Have finally arranged for the chimney sweep to come, on Tuesday afternoon, then realised I have to be at hospital on Tues. Ah well. Need to rearrange. Then I can get a fire going without wasting gas. OK, I’m wittering now " sorry.

Morning Captain and crew, early Saturday morning and Mrs.B, 2 friends and myself are off to the city market for breakfast in our favourite cafe. Next we'll stock up with fresh produce, followed by a cappuccino and some chatter in a cosy Italian coffee shop. So for the time being ciao.
