it is incredibly gorgeous outside and I am CLEANING

ok - so it had something to do with tripping over a suitcase (how long have I been back ) and deciding I really must do something about it

Not for long tho - I am going into the garden and finding some peace - my chimes are whispering sweet tinkling sounds and the sun is streaming through the conservatory. Gonna fill the boid feeders and maybe give the grass a haircut (mmmmmmm... not sure I can manage that at the moment - the hoovering has been mammoth on my hands!!!!!!!)

I remember my Chair of Governors coming into the school and telling us what had happened. I went home, both children sat at the kitchen table with me, my parents came over and we sat in disbelief. When 7/7 happened, my ex was in London, the city had closed down and he couldn't get back.

Days not forgotten.

Morning all. I didn't know you were under the shower Izzie but one phone call was mine, tried skype. Can't blame you for being outside in the sun and avoiding the housework, trying to copy mismi eh.

My weekend has started and have friends coming to watch another knock out football final on TV with me, all the rage here in Aussie land at the moment. It means getting the barbeque ready, bought nice chops, snags and steaks for the occasion and the necessary refreshments. You know what Aussie blokes drink at bbq's, lemonade and cordial.

Morning Crew

What happened last nite? Not got a clue. Came upstairs at 11pm (being discimplined, me) - woke at 3.20am with half a packet of choc hob nobs and some rolo wrappers beside me, full cold cuppa tea - and hadn't posted a thing!!!!!!!!

I must have fallen asleep as soon as I climbed into bed - so.......... got up at 3.20am - cleaned teeth, washed face ....... then........ not a clue. Woke at 7.30am at the end of the bed. Totally bizarre. Hands and feet are badly swollen and painful today - that's pants - and for no good reason.


Anyhooooooooooooooooooooo - beautiful day outside (the UK is going to have 2 more good days apparently - so sayeth that weatherman) - no idea what to do with myself today - but I will fill in the blanks no doubt.

Wishing everyone a glorious day and I will be back a bit later to say "hey", maybe back in 5 mins........ oh no no no........... gonna go sit and drink tea by the river. That's what I'm gonna do first - my, its lovely out there today.

I wanna climb a mountain. I may have to go to the beach today. I don't know what to do.

H-E-L-L-O!!!! Remember me?????

Phew! I just read back about 20 pages! So much to say and so little time. Izzie, I am sad that it didn't work out for me to come to Chicago. I believe I was in CA at that time. Or Baton Rouge. I don't remember. I do know that was a hectic time frame for me. Bouncing around like crazy! This has been one work-filled summer with very little "me" time. Of course I shouldn't complain. I do get to have fun on business trips, but there's no place like home. Can't wait for one career to end and the next one to begin. School begins on the 23rd of this month. Can't wait! I am so ready to go back.

Everyone ..... I have missed you all! I hope life is great. That each day begins and ends with a smile. And that good things are bountiful!

Daddy is doing well, really. Was back in the hospital for a lil while, but they got him fixed back up and shipped out! One day at a time ..... and lots of prayers!

My summer has flew by! But there are a few things that I have learned along the way:

1. There is more than 1 meaning to an “8 second ride.” And I’m not fond of any of them.



2. That California isn’t such a bad place after all, but I’m much better on a pair of skis then I am on a surfboard. Though I do have a new appreciation for the Beach Boys song called “Surf City.” Huntington Beach rocks!

3. That if I ever go back to NYC, I will think twice about getting a hotel smack dab in the middle of Times Square. Unless of course I don’t wish to sleep at all! Ummm not to mention there are some scary dudes running around everywhere you go!



4. That sometimes, points of contention are buried deep within us. They hide in there like a thief in the night. But everyone is strong enough to conquer.

5. And I have learned that babies will make you smile, no matter what. That I will likely always be Daddy’s little girl. And that spending 3 days with parents and siblings at the cabin can make you appreciate those that you love, and at times take for granted.



6. That if you are sunbathing on a beach that isn’t topless, and on your tummy …. don’t forget to place top back on before you roll over! (shudders!)

7. That old friends never die. Especially those that have been a part of your life during the darkest hours.



And last but not least ......... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!

8. I have learned that Try snores so loud when he sleeps, you can almost see the raising and lowering of the roof above you as he breathes in and breathes out! Oh, and that his elephant trunk really IS as big as he wants you to think it is.

Summer is winding down. Busy, busy. As much as I enjoy the other seasons, walking in back, picking fresh stuff, will be missed.

Dutchy. Few days back, an angler fishing for salmon caught this record brown trout. May be a world record (almost forty two pounds) I was fishing that same river a week before,....and I swear, I had a big one hooked,....but, ....line snapped..........

Hey there Brooke! You've been all over the place this summer - no wonder we haven't seen you! You are beautiful girl! Cute little feller your hugging on too. I am so glad Try has someone to hang with - I was worried that he was one of these strange, loner, computer types that has no friends and a stunted personality because of lack thereof . He must be okay if you're hanging out with him.

That is a cute little girl. She's getting so big! I forget how fast babies grow.
