Re:-Bazza S'girl.For over 40 years I've called her Small.Her Mom vary rarely did and only one or two others still do today.Now,on my screen,Small is popping up all over the place,whether posting or being refered to.Seems very strange,but very very nice to share "Small" with the crew.

Crew... Small, so good to hear from you. Finally stopped work tonight for a well earned rest and I wish I had room in my suitcase for Bazza you and of course Izzie and my beautiful godson to come to Florida on Sunday. Cannot wait.
My stepson has arrived. He is like Tigger on springs and bouncing off the walls with excitement. So much to do and little time. Can't wait to be on the plane with a g and t in hand and stop stop stop the world!!

Heiligenschein (German for "aureole" or "halo", literally "Holy shine") is an optical phenomenon which creates a bright spot around the shadow of the viewer's head. It is created when the surface on which the shadow falls has special optical characteristics. Dewy grass is known to exhibit these characteristics, and creates a Heiligenschein. Nearly spherical dew droplets act as lenses to focus the light on the surface beneath them. Some of this light 'backscatters' in the direction of the sunlight as it passes back through the dew droplet. This makes the antisolar point appear the brightest.


Heiligenschein around head of Buzz Aldrin's shadow due partly to extreme retroreflective properties of lunar regolith[1]. This is a close up of the reflection in Aldrins visor, cropped from the famous image, catalog number AS11-40-5903. The white figure to the right is the photographer, Neil Armstrong.The opposition effect enhances this halo effect by creating a bright spot of light around the viewer's head when the viewer is looking in the opposite direction of the sun. When viewing the Heiligenschein, there are no coloured rings around the shadow of the observer, as in the case of a glory.

In German, Heiligenschein is only used in religious context, like nimbus or gloriole.

Pritty good so far hun. Been a delivery man today picking up #2 child's new washing machine & taking it to her house. Got back home just in time to kiss #4 good night though. Entertaining 2morrow pm, then time to chill out & get used to hubbie going back to work after 2 weeks off...It'll be quiet!!!
