Boids are singing and the sun is shining - luverly!!!! Woke up early but.... the little fella is still zzzzzzzzzzzing - so all is verra verra quiet in the house - doors are wide open and I'm listening to the river running by.

Off to the city to see the consultant in....... aaaaaah less than 45mins - best go make myself presentable a? ..... oh oh oh..... I gotta get a wriggle on.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh - we have been "doing".... been to the city, seen the doc (mmmmmmmm - he told me to remove my mask for a while - perceptive chap - thinking), had a KFC on the moors, been trekking, climbed a wee mountain - clover clover clover - who knew, threw leaves - lovely leaves, cormorants and buzzards, icecreams with DOUBLE flakes - 99ers ditto'd, little fellas school report (oh dear- best not think about that bit right now) - garden centre and fairies with no legs willows weeping - spray painted our chiminea - t'was a lovely shade of rust and is now a lovely shade of rust covered in black shadow paint - yea for spray paint and not having a wire wool brush - fruit salad with everything we can find in the fruit bowl - now - going to build some steps.

FOUND THE BEST BEST TREE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! No really - it is the best tree in the whole wide world - there must be goblins and trolls and the folk of the faraway tree living in this tree....... oh.... it was magnificent

I saw that this morning Rock...winter doesn't want to go away up there does it? Sorry...it is time for it to move on. Glad the lilac is okay

I remember some doozy snowstorms in April. I doubt that will happen again, at least not here. Enjoy the cold white stuff, RH. Love a good snow.

Oh my goodness...

DjjD " you are positively blooming!!!!! Luverly! ROCK " you got more snow?? Good grief. When will it stop!

Well, oh so verra tired " but what a super duper day. We revisited one of my childhood places " it’s on the way back from the city and about 20 minutes from here " felt like I was 4 years old again. What an adventure on the moors!




It’s so huge - the reservoir " well, you know, not like lake MI or anything " but simply stunning there " massive, ma-hoooo-sive trees " hundreds of years old ... oh, just amazing. We climbed and clambered (had my rather sexy leg brace on and paying for it now, but man, it was worth it). Looky here " welcome to Burrator Reservoir!



In the winter when the water is high it pours over the top of the dam and down, down, down....













The best tree ever...


It may not look very much.... but it was huge....and so unusual

Absolutely spectacular place, Iz. Moss on trees. Great formations. Old and wondrous. Is that kid, by some chance, related to you?

And you are incorrigible. Schlepping around such a place in a leg brace. I wish you'd take better care of yourself. Might as well be talking to the moss.

He's a happy little chap these days - unfortunately for him, he received the worst school report you could possibly imagine..... except for ICT, Gymnastics and a smiley face - funny 'ole thing - does take after his Mom!!!!!!! However, I wasn't gonna let a school report ruin the day for us - heh - gave him the brief talk of "you gotta knuckle down kiddo and quit mucking about in class, golden opportunity and all that" - but ya know - if he's happy, right now, that's my only real concern. A friend of mine said not so long ago to look at my kids face to know he was doing alright - they were right - S-boy is sunshine boy when he's smiling - and he does so much "caring" for me - he's way beyond his 11 years. He's a good kid.
