@mismi,
Bruhahahahaha.... yeah - that might have been the ploy to keep us quiet. Can't remember being too quiet tho (who me.... no.....)

My Granny who died in '88 was so funny - spent a lot of time with her when I was really little, baking cakes and all that (ha - didn't learn too well did I !!!!!!!) She taught me how to cheat in cards really well, she did the horse racing every Saturday and always had a bet on the Grand National - she was such a wonderful character! She had an expression...... HA HA FOR GERB! we still use it now.

@mismi,
OK - I wrote this out just now and then deleted it..... but..... in for a penny (so to speak), in for a pound....

the exhub had a little ......errrrrrrrr....... problem after drinking, he would not wake up when he went to find the loo....... he could p anywhere - out windows, well.... you get the picture. On his stag nite he was staying with my bro - he was hammered.....(yuk) he got up in the nite, didn't know where he was..... opened the wardrobe door and peed. Went back to bed. Next morning my brother started screaming... I mean screaming... not shouting..... ex had peed all over the wedding kilts..... blooming twit. Oh deary me. As my brother was responsible for making sure all was supposed to be fine .... and get him to the church on time and all that..... he was a little bit panicky. Fortunately, plastic coverings protected the kilts for the most part.... errrrrrrrr.... the wardrobe fared less well.

Naturally it was mentioned at the wedding speech..... ensuite wardrobes and the like...

oh........ so many stories..... prolly shouldn't tell them - HA!

@djjd62,
I remember Weebles - it's the perfect example - I can see you now! The first time I had A beer...I got out of the car and went straight to my knees. HA! My girls had to get on either side of me to get me into PuttPutt.

@mismi,
I stopped drinking in '89 - having spent the year travelling and ... imbibing with the world. 'Til 2 years ago - went to an ABBA nite with the girls - bad bad bad bad move - never again.....that I will say NEVER AGAIN. The most awful feeling in the world - yuk.

I'll get doozy after a couple tiny glasses. Daft.

DjjD - remember the weebles well!

@Izzie,
Two years ago on Easter Sunday - I went to my in laws for lunch...my sis in law and I laughed and laughed and I had 4 glasses of wine....I was laying on the tile floor in the bathroom by that afternoon...I went home and spent a lot of time in the bathroom that night...my mother - in - law calls it the "Blessed Holiday". I will never make that mistake again...miserable. And the Prof. was livid. Mr. Green I got in so much trouble.

Mr. Green

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ can picture you smiling right now Mis!!!!

I dunno how anyone drinks wine. Tulip and FQ both enjoy their wine - I can't bear it. I'm so not classy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PaPa is a wine connoisseur and has a wine cellar full of........ apparently very special wine! Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

Give the gal a nice cuppa tea and she's happy!!!!!!!!!! hahahahhahaahha

@Izzie,
Well - for me it was an acquired taste. My husband and his family drink it ...my family does not....which is fine...I just learned after I got married. Though I was a bit of a stinker in highschool..obviously - drank a bit before age - I finally figured out that it really just cut my night short most of the time! I get so sleepy!
