@Roberta,
Hey Boida gal

went to bed at 1ish and kaboom... 7am.... I must have an internal clock that goes pingpingpingpingping.... 6 hours tho (not bad a? albeit with heaps of meds.... look like I've had 2 hours - hahaha- I actually look quite funny at the moment - can't turn my head (I am so not an owl ... or wise to boot!) so have taken my meds - that'll ease up tho - nothing too out of the ordinary. Have I got a collar - yes, 2 actually... will I wear them - no. So, no sympathy.

Once I start moving around - it'll ease up a bit. Thanku goil - please don't worry - one nite I am sure I will end up having a good 8-10 hours.... maybe next year. Have told myself I will go to work next Wednesday and Friday.... FQsis is not overly happy about it, haven't asked the doctor but have to get a certificate saying I'm fit for work Shocked - but I think if I set that target (if I can obviously), then I will. Reasonably, if I'm sick - then I wont be able to no matter what head says - but hey - gotta give it a go and give myself a target. There's so much I need and want to do. It's a start.

So................ it's raining outside but everything is so very green and the plants are going great guns poking up thru the soil. FQ arrives today - when she gets here it's like we feel complete again - she's my second self tho our lives are so different - she's my heart and soul and vice versa. I need to get some things done around the house if I can - her parents are coming by to visit at some stage too over the weekend - they are my second Ma&Pa - my bro and I used to spend all our summers with them up on the farm in Essex and FQ and her elder sister would come down to us in Devon. We were the Famous Five with a sheep called Choppy! Wonderful childhood memories.

Life was so much easier then than the kids seem to have today - we were just kids..... the kids now seem to want to grow up so much faster. My boys and FQgirls spent all their summers together except the last couple years (bit difficult with oldest son) - but when the 4 of them are together in the woods or in the fields, especially fishing on the farm, or playing pictionary or "in the bag" - they go back to being real little kids - mud, dirt and lotsa laughter.

OH JEEZZZZZZZZ - what am I doing.... waffling again. sorry. doh Razz

SOOOOOO - more importantly - how you doin' Boida - any more wee voluntary noises yet???????? How's the taste buds!!!!!!

Wishing all our crew the very best day - thinking of our Babbling girl and PaPaBabbling and hoping our db will come visit soon and let us know she has kicked her bigC into touch and the chemo side effects are wearing off.

Healing thoughts and well wishes to those who need 'em and lotsa love from across the pond to one and all. x

@Izzie,
y do you have to say sorryy..captain..
those rain and shooting greenies..and famous five adventures just were soothing to read..
It is sure great tht u set a target but i hope you are not being too tough on yourself...is it time yet to push urself to work..
please do not take extreme steps and give yourself proper rest..
so happy to catch you dear..the 'waffling' sure drew a smile and drifted the mind through pleasant clouds for a while
Quote:
I am no Poet here; my pen's the spout where the rain water of my eyes run out.”
read it somewhere..should say it touched my heart and is soo true to many of us here..
Mismi - you just read me right - it sure is a tug of heart ..and that is the worst of all!

@Izzie,
Look its me Tulip! garden looking great DjjD.

Izzie will give you a massage when I have learnt more!

Ok I am gonna rant. ...... Mum rang said my brother had said about his lack of money but I am doing ok and spent load 50k ........yeah if only I had that spare! So I got really angry rang my brother and put him straight! Said I was not into back biting, gossip or anything else. He said he didn't say anything, but I reckon he did just by the tone of his voice! I said I did't want to be in the situation I have ended up, if I could have my husband back. So it went on....... I ended up in tears and have now resorted to wine and a cigarette.

Not a brilliant day in Anatomy and Physiology , Cells!!! how can something so small be so bloody complex! Cann't remember any of it and I have books and paperwork coming out of my ears!

Then the washing line fell down and this morning at 7 am whilst walking the dogs Merlin runs off spent 3/4 hr trying to find him. Just as I had given up he comes running up to me with a small cut on his ear. I am wet to the bone due to the rain and I then have to drive to college an hour and 1/4 away.

So am feeling fed up, no really fed up !!

Hope the weekend comes quickly.
Sorry to let off steam!
X

Hello Izzie. Hello Yabber-Liner crew. Hope this finds all with sunshine in their eyes.
Thursday. Rain day. A good day for task at hand. The task: Fifteen years ago, I dug up a wild rose bush from a friends property, that was slated for demolition the next day. I planted it at my house. Years passed. Often, I'd give seedlings, and parts of this spreading wild pink and white rose bush to friends. I moved. Years pass. I move again. A week ago, I ran into a friend at a birthday party. We chit chatted a bit, and she asked me how I liked where I reside......then...she stated:" hey, remember that rose bush you gave me umpteen years ago...?'

I think I will plant this generation next to the deck post.
Good day.

Tulip... how many wines have you had. If you've had one.... then get in the car and come on over. FQ is on her way and dinner is in the oven. Get in the car and COME OVER NOW! If you've had more than one - DON'T get in the car.

Call you in a bit if I haven't heard from you!

@annis,
OK..... nope - don't go near the car right now.

Tomorrow - come by tomorrow - drop in on your way back from work. FQ has appointments tomorrow in deepest darkest Cornwall. Come by tomorrow OK..... please.

Remember what your bro is like - he can be a grumpy 'ole sod. Don't buy into it or what he's telling Mom. Don't react to him. Perhaps the lady of the house needs to go get a job a????????? Like the rest of the world has to. RANT AWAY girl. If you want I can come over and pick you up later if you need to get out the house - no probs!!!!!

@Izzie,
Oh Tulip - thank goodness for wine and (the occasional) cigarette... Wink so sorry you had such a bad day - I know those doggies - frustrating as heck but aren't they sweet? Can't stay mad at them. But family stuff is really frustrating - so sorry you are having to deal with that on top of everything else.

I just got off the roof. It was an adventure. I KNOW - what was I doing on the roof? Fixing a leak. I was sitting here working on my stuff when I looked up and saw a wet ring. Two actually. So I called my Daddy and he told me there was roofing felt in my shed in the back and to go get it and look for where the leak might be...I found one shingle torn off and another missing with exposed nails. So I started from the bottom and tucked the edge of the felt under the shingles and layered it up four times over all the spots I expect are the problems...then I put small bricks on each layer to weight it down until after the rains...it is suppose to rain through Saturday I think.

I am praying that that will hold it until I can get a roofing company to fix it. But wasn't that great big fun? Pistol and Biscuit kept trying to climb the ladder to where I was and I had to keep getting on to them...but it was so funny that they would even try - of course they get up in the tree house all the time now...so I shouldn't be surprised they would try this!

I love doing new things...if it works I will be really happy. If not...well...I am going to have a mess in here. I didn't wear gloves though- which was stupid - so now my hands are sore from where I was bearing down on those rough shingles...ouch.

Iz - you and FQ have a wonderful time tonight...have a Bailey's for me - I might have to go get me some and drink to you two too!

I gotta go get my little boys - I will see you all later!

@mismi,
Oh my goodness Tulip, Izzie and mismi you make me feel so guilty, I'm sitting here with oodles of time at my disposal and wanting so desperately to help you each individually. All that is lacking is the funds to fly over, would love to volunteer doing all those odd jobs for you, including a relaxing massage. Wink
Back to reality, just polishing off the last of a couple of hot cross buns with my coffee, siting at the water's edge, so very relaxing.
Cheers all from downunder.

@Dutchy,
HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY UP CREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't been on all nite because.............

OH MY!!!! 1.55am and we have not stopped talking since FQ arrived. Coming up for breath now - what a nite of yabbering.

Firstly - BEAgle - I gave her your hug and she send you one back. Secondly - MIS - you must have heard us talking about you - we so wanna spend time with you girlie - we were saying how amazing you are and that was before we knew you'd been a master roofer (Ha - you are so me girlie). We talked about how we wanna come over for Babbling Girls graduation and all have a big massive crew party - so exciting. Meet you all.

Gosh - we have phil.....pilll.....phylllooo...philosophised all nite and set the world spinning on a differnt axis - I don't know how that's possible - we finish each others sentences. It's been soo good.

NOW.... we did have a little upset - FQ has been poorly for a while - we thought it was her kidneys but she was in so much when she arrived after sitting in the car for 5 hours - we had to call the doctor. She's now taking some heavy painkillers and if it's no better tomorrow will go to A&E. Shocked She's doing a little better tonite. Now, if this was me - that would be coco - but this is FQ and it is a rare rare occasion for her to get sick - she gets tired - but really sick once maybe twice a year, at a push. She NEVER takes painkillers so she must be pretty bad to take some strong one (doc said she could have some of mine). Poor love - just what she doesnt need with a family outlaw party to do over the weekend and travelling to Germany all next week. Bless. Seeing a consultant following Saturday. Seriously, for her to be sick sick..... just isn't heard of so - a few healing prayers and FQ has a great faith - to help in whatever way.

It has been fab...... I love her so much.

Tulip, please come by tomorrow - call me on the house phone first or then the mobile. We need to get together OK. FQ may be over at K's for the evening so bring the kids and Sboy will be here and we'll do you some dinner. OK.... please girl. Missing you heaps.

Well, I am pretty cream crackered and joints are playing up a little. Oh and yeah - she has taken the mick out my cacky hands - HA - they look like spiders.... now thats a nice thought a? Huge change in them since Christmas - hey ho a? FQ is now zzzzzzzzzzzzzing and I must be on my way soon.... 2am.... oof.

Checking in on our JPB...... have emailed you girlie way earlier... hoping all is OK. Missing you bigSISTA.

Lovin y'all....

Have taken my meds so gonna have to stop posting as I am feeling gushy and mushy and I might just have to tell y'all what and why you do to me. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - so not the best plan at the moment.

My shadow Black Kitty has been snuffling into the chocolate box. Now... I really shouldnt eat one... but I'm gonna have to and.... of course... share them with y'all - I promise he didn't lick any of the chocs.

@verbivore,
Hi verbovore, if you're not doing much this weekend, join me for a cruise on my son's boat. We'll be doing an eco tour of nearby islands where my son lives, looking at the wild life but above all hope to encounter heaps of Sea lions and probable a great white shark. I'll even provide free chocolates. Smile
