@bathsheba,
Had a good look at the map of Canada and now have an idea where you are located, totally opposite where I was thinking. We read a lot about the weather in Montreal which often is so very cold and naturally thought you cop the same.
90 degrees is not that hot, it is a clear dry heat and comfortable, will put A/C on when it hits near 100. Best wishes from down under, hope that your health will keep on improving.

@gustavratzenhofer,
Wet, windy and cold with the windmills turning feverishly, thinking of emigrating.

@Dutchy,
And I just had a good look at Australia. I see you're near Tasmania, sort of? My brother and sister in law were on their yacht sailing around Australia for the past several years - they loved it.

Canada is a huge country with many provinces so no wonder you got lost. Quebec is a beautiful province in the summer but I would not go there this time of year. I'm a west coast girl. You're on the Great Australian Bight, right? Hubby lived in Australia for 3 years in Melbourne teaching in the '70's before I met him.
Are you having a drought there?
Thanks for the wishes about the health, dear Dutchy. If wishes were worth money I'd be rich! You stay well too and don't get overheated, y'hear?

@Izzie,
Hello Izzie. I see your having fun.
Not only a hole in the bottom, but stepped on the mat. Changing socks again. Other half decides to purchase this huge, fluffy, fourteen gallon absorbing capacity, shower entrance/exit mat. Gets wet, stays wet. Too dangerous jumping it. No where to hang it. Its demise is inevitable.
Hello bathsheba. Pleasure to meet you.
Hello gustavratzenhofer. May I call you gus?
Good day.

@alex240101,
Oh Alex... I. am. so. not. happy!!!!!!!!!!

It's been one of those days. The plumber has been. The plumber has gone. The problem is the same as it was before he came and my cheque book has one less cheque in it.

I need a new circuit board - so says the person who knows. I can't question it. Gotta trust his judgement. He explained it. It made sense. No guarantees tho.

That... or a new boiler at £1500.00 and worry free for five years.

Guess it's gonna be the circuit board. Dammit.

He hoovered out the boiler - he was then extremely apologetic as he had just serviced an oil fired boiler - THE WHOLE DARN HOUSE STINKS OF OIL... makes me gag - yuk - stinks. He was very apologetic.

Bloody hell.

I. am. so. not. happy.

Tired and grumpy now. Too many workmen who fix things or don't fix things in my presence today. Don't want them here either and the house is cold from the windows and doors being opened to get rid of the oil smell. Boiler shutting down constantly.

Needing a hug - ack.

Sorry - whining!
