And - I just bought tickets to watch the Red Sox play the Twins tomorrow in the Grapefruit League...hubby is so excited...he is SO loving me right now! The boys are thrilled too...

Anyway - really we are about to go get in the car and head off to Florida...

Stormy, I saw your home; wow, it looks so cozy and with a fire place! It must be a dream in the warmer months, sitting on the deck in dapple shade. You sure can pick them. Did you get it built?

Yeah the fireplace is nice and cozy..it has a woodstove set into it for heat. Still looks nice but more heat efficient. We didn't have it built, but it was a small one story ranch when we bought it and we added a second floor and sunroom. It is nice in summer we are very tucked into the woods on 2 acres. After many years we finally have a some lawn instead of wooded weeds.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I have never called you a hillbilly. But we do have some serious rednecks around here. You can sit out on the deck on a summer night enjoying the sound of the peepers and a gentle breeze to hear it interrupted by drunken neighbors revving their ATVs and screaming obscenities at ther wives. Just kidding....but it really is back woods at times.

wande is the one with a tie. I never wear a tie except at funerals and that picture was not taken at one of those because if it was wande's tie would be black.

K - well, I guess that's sorted then.

Back on board - have been silked and sunblocked - thank you dutchy and try. Try I am going to need some serious sunblocking for the next few days. 32 degrees celcius tomorrow and 35 and 35 for the next couple of days. Dutchy hope there is relief in sight. Good morning DDXX, we're a few degrees above you, 38.9 yesterday and the same for today, heatwave will last at least until Sunday week! Going to grab another coldie the only way to keep ahead.

I am inclined to agree. I have a large paddock which I have to cut on a mower tractor - I cannot abide going over any of the somewhat beautiful flowers - commonly known as weeds to many - as they are just a lovely as a pure English Rose. For instance, evening primrose, scarlet pimpernel, selfheal, forget-me-not and of course, the Procumbent pearlwort - are all very nice weeds, though they may annoy some people who like more manicured lawns and surroundings.

My solution was to have 2 wild areas in the paddock - where any weeds, long grasses and wild flowers were able to grow and attract the local wildlife. These photos are from my paddock - I love my weeds!





Each to their own I guess.

I haven't quite got around to doing the Ship's Log tonite. I do need to become a Sleeping Beauty - trouble is … darn that Prince - he never makes it and I sleep at the strangest times, so he never knows when to call to awaken me - it's all in the kiss you know!

So, have you thought of how we ought to reward our 100 page gal. Crew came up with NO suggestions - so I think you ought to choose the next party theme! So, challenge is set…. Let me know girlie.
