Happy Saturday to all.
Ribs are slow healing. It is not helping my cause that I'm not slowing down...although by nightfall, wincing. Thank you mismi, Izzie for the kind words.
Finally. I'm going to a dim sum restaurant, this evening.
Two more rooms to go. Dodged a bullet, not burgundy. Like the pale blue walls though. We will see.
Mismi. You survived your first week. L.S.U. today. Hopefully a crimson tidal wave.
Haven't seen devriesj, whiteviolet much these days. Hope all is well.

So.... today in the UK we celebrate those who have fallen and their families.....and those who remain fighting for our countries
Remembrance Sunday
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the United Kingdom, Remembrance Sunday is the second Sunday of November, the Sunday nearest to 11 November (Remembrance Day), which is the anniversary of the end of the hostilities of the First World War at 11 a.m. in 1918.
In the United Kingdom, Remembrance Sunday is marked by ceremonies at local war memorials in most towns and villages, attended by civic dignitaries, ex-servicemen and women (principally the Royal British Legion), members of local armed forces reserve units (Royal Naval Reserve, Territorial Army, Royal Marines Reserve and Royal Auxiliary Air Force), youth organisations (e.g. Scouts and Guides), and military cadet forces (e.g. Air cadets, Army cadets and Sea cadets). Wreaths of poppies are laid on the memorials and two-minutes' silence is held at 11 a.m. In Ireland it is marked by a ceremony in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, which the President of Ireland attends.
In the United Kingdom, the national ceremony is held at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London and since 2005 the women's memorial is also included. Wreaths are laid by the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Duke of York, the Princess Royal, the Duke of Kent and Prince William of Wales; the Prime Minister, leaders of major political parties, the Foreign Secretary, the Commonwealth High Commissioners and representatives from the Army, Navy and the Royal Air Force, the Merchant Navy and fishing fleets and the Civilian Services. A two minutes' silence is held at 11 a.m., before the laying of the wreaths. The silence represents the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 the guns of Europe fell silent.[1] This silence is marked by the firing of a field gun on Horse Guards Parade to begin and end the silence, followed by Royal Marines buglers, playing the Last Post.
The event consists mainly of an extensive march past, with army bands playing live music, each year following the list of the Traditional Music of Remembrance. After the Ceremony, a parade of veterans, organised by the Royal British Legion, marches past the Cenotaph, each section of which lays a wreath as it passes.
Other ceremonies
From 1919 until 1945, Remembrance ceremonies were held on Armistice Day; observance was then moved to Remembrance Sunday, but, since the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in 1995, it has become usual to hold ceremonies on both Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.
On Remembrance Sunday in 1987, a bomb exploded by the Provisional IRA killed 11 people and injured 63 in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.
In 2006, Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown proposed that in addition to Remembrance Sunday, a new national day to celebrate the achievements of veterans should be instituted. The "Veterans Day", to be held in the summer, would be similar to Veterans Day celebrations in the United States.
It is a polite custom to wear poppies on Remembrance Sunday. Paper poppies are sold in the weeks before the day by the Royal British Legion, in order to raise money to support ex-servicemen.
To all those who have given their lives.... and to all those who fight for “good” in the world, wherever they may be " you have my love and I thank you.

@ehBeth,
hey... there's our Bethie.... how happy is that... love that pic hun... LOVE IT!
G'day big birdie! the Pathfinder is sleeping off his burger in the company of two happy little dogs.
I think he was amused overall - I spent the day I regularly believe to be his birthday confirming that I'd got it right this year - and then almost missed the day.
ahhhhhhhh..... I have just watched a Remembrance Day service on BBC1... gosh - to see all those men and women, their stories and experiences etched on their faces and behind their eyes .... 105 year olds and wee kiddies... kinda sobering thoughts and stories. Reading what our "Seed" wrote yesterday... does make you think hard. Particularly the Pericles quote with which the service ended.....
“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”
BEAgle.... hoping you had a great Sunday hun - are you hot down there now???? Well, of course you're hot... but, weather wise!!!!? x
Bethie - ah ha, the London video, just over a year ago - we had the very best time... total lack of control of bodily functions and facial expressions when laughing so long and so hard, as well as the joy of looking at a cute "tush" on a rickshaw! FQsis and I had "the perfect day"... it was dreamlike - one, we will remember our whole lives. We're trying to plan another soon... hoping that Tulip will join us this time too.
Hope HIM enjoyed yesterday - so good to see his name pop up on the boards again. x
