@alex240101,
....almost pulled a mismi...

thank goodness you didn't. I am wanting to get outside so bad I can't stand it. But I'm still one handed....so I am vacuuming one handed...doing laundry one handed....so on so forth.

Why the holes Alex?

There is Big Red...keep it up! Proud of you!

peeking in to say hello...need to keep on keeping on...hugs to you all!

@mismi,
Crazyish weekend ahead.

Tonight, brendalee and I are off to http://www.torontoconsort.org/season/schedule.html#marcopolo

Quote:
What if Marco Polo (the famous medieval merchant who travelled across Asia to Cathay, and then back to his native Venice) had owned a tape recorder and kept a musical diary of the musical worlds he encountered? Even more delightful a thought, what if a few of his musical travelling companions had played with the musicians they met en route? Join the Toronto Consort on their most exotic journey yet as they explore new musical worlds with guests Wen Zhao, pipa, YuCheng Zhang, xun and xiao (traditional Chinese flutes), Yongli Xue, zheng (Chinese zither), and Kavkasia, a traditional Georgian vocal trio led by Toronto singer Alan Gasser. An adventure like no other!

Tomorrow, practice practice (procrastinate) practice and then ...

I'll be one of the students in the student gala portion of this

Sneaking onboard the ship to see what ya’ll been up to.

I’m sorry that I have been AWOL much of the time. Doesn’t mean I don’t think about you. School is full force and nailing me to the wall most days.

Izzie…… Wow, you have been through the mill. Good gravy! Are things calmer now? Your strength when you trudge through hard times, amazes me. I just don’t know what to say. Except you know I love you!

Mis ……..how’s your Daddy doing? Geez girl…..sorry about your arm. Yikes! That sounded painful! I hope you are over the worst of it!

Dev … How are things with you? Tough time of it there for awhile, I see. I think that those times are needed. As hard as they may be. Ya know? Sort of like kicking aside all the bad things that are buried , so they are no longer in your path and you can see clearer. Walk straighter. And find yourself again. It hurts though. I know. Trust me. I know. Been working on some of that myself. I bet some days it feels like a brick wall that you can’t penetrate. Or like the bricks have come crumbling down on top of you. Making it harder to get where you know you need to be. You have the strength. Even when you feel weak. And it’s ok to feel weak at times. Those are the times you don’t have to try and push through it. Set it aside….and be good to YOU. The rest will come.

Dutchy…..awwwww I loved that picture! Your grandkids look so happy to have their grandpa with them. Just adorable!!

Steve, I’m very sorry about your friend.

JPB, RH, Dev, WV, Alex, jw, verbivore, bigred, FQ, annis, try, and anyone I missed…….wishing you all the best. Have a great weekend.

((((( Crew ))))) Miss you guys!

Lovely to see FlavourQueen and JustBrooke back on board, missed you guys, but realise you both have important jobs at hand. I was always taught, work first and play later, you both obviously adhere to those principles as well! Thank you for the compliments of my three grandkids, we certainly adore them, a pity they live so far away and consequently we don't see them often enough. Wishing all the crew a great weekend. Long weekend downunder with a public holiday on Monday.

@verbivore,
Verbivore! that is great news about being involved in the Teach India program. Congratulations!

Gala, in the terms of our dance gala, means that there will be a total of about 70 - 80 dancers over the evening, with a bit of a party and reception before and after. It's going to be quite festive. A bit more formal/structured than a hafla, which is a bellydancers party - really no outside audience.

Hey Dutchy, I was taught that too. Guess what? I changed those rules. I can work and play at the same time. No need to separate the 2. Nothing better than having fun at where you work.

Good morning Izzie. Good morning crew. Sunday.
A quick hello to all.
Izzie. Ship needs new paint on the hull. Galley needs restocked. Flares need updating. We're on our last spare prop. Where are you captain.
Verbivore. Congratulations on being selected. The rewards you will receive.
ehBeth. Dancing. Is that how you broke your house steps?
Justbrooke. Good luck with your studies. Down with the Buckeyes.
Off to the cider mill for cold fresh Michigan apple cider, and doughnuts.
Good day.
