Good afternoon to any out there. Beautiful sunny day here - encourages one to go out and enjoy. Wedding anniversary tomorrow so going out for dinner. 37 years and hubby says "you don't get that long for murder". Me thinks that's going to cost him. Dutchy - got plans for Father's Day?? Kids and grandkids joining us for lunch as well as my mama and papa. Going to a local golf club so I don't have to worry about catering.

Having said that, I tend to agree with your hubby, with one exception, it feels more like a life sentence to me.
Beautiful day here also, have managed to do quite a bit of work in my veggie patch, eating freshly picked endive from my plot tonight.

Looks like I am going to have to have a talk with Mrs Beagle about where to buy the most expensive shoes. !! If you have another lovely day there looks like we are in for another tomorrow. I can't believe it - another goose has just wandered in and looks like staying. What do I have - a sign on the gate that says "Welcome all strays"!! Sheesh - as Missy would say.

So…. I’ve become a mole….

I went to work yesterday " they weren’t expecting me so when I walked into the HT presentation " there were hugs and all that and an examination of the toots … walked round the school " it looked the same and the people were the same " it was fine. We had a piece of A3 paper " “What do we want from the school and work/life balance” " I wrote down “fire pit, willow shelter” …. Work/life balance….. mmmmmmmmmm.

I’m not allowed in school today " I have to get a Doctors Certificate saying I am fit for work " health and safety and all that stuff. Silly really " I was there yesterday. Fit for work……..mmmmmmmmm…………physically, I guess so.

Had around 3 hours sleep " went to bed but couldn’t sleep. Too many images flashing behind my eyelids. Got up early to take the little fella to the school bus " locked myself out of the house - which I actually thought was quite hilarious - DOH

Hence… I became a mole and had to dig up the garden to find the buried key.

Oh, Izzie mole. I do hope your sleep becomes easier very soon. It must be so difficult making the transition back to work but you have lots of love waiting for you there. I'm sure things will be a bit easier once you have the certificate and can actually get stuck into it.

DeeDee - Happy Anniversary! 37 years..that is so great. I hope you have a wonderful dinner. Congratulations! Geese are so pretty - though they do poop a lot. What's up with that...I suppose they eat a lot too. You must put out some kind of aura that lets them know you will take care of them. Izzie has that with wild things too I think. They just know they are safe. Pretty special I'd say.

IZZIE! I would laugh at myself too. Have done the same thing. I had to break into my own house though. I got in LOTS of trouble for that broken window. It taught me to hide a key. Well...I hope you find peace about work.

I am wondering what the trees look like there in your world. What color is the sky? And does the straight jacket hurt? How do you eat with it on?

I know I haven't found my peace with working. I applied and had an interview for an insurance clerk at my General Practitioner's office. It would just be 25 hours a week. I am still wondering how I will do Cub Scouts, Fall Ball (for 3), get homework done, feed everybody and be working. I start hyperventilating thinking about the evenings at this house. And sadly enough...other people do it all the time. I am just not as organized or as capable as some. There is a hope somewhere inside that it is just because I haven't done it in so long and that it will get easier with practice...as most things do. Hope. It's a wonderful thing sometimes.

Thx but think your eyesight must be faulty! I am studying Criminology - just about to go into final year, going very well and loving it. Probably will stay on a do a Masters from Sept 09. Intended originally to use it by mentoring troubled young people but not sure now if dodgy health will allow so have ideas of other ways I can use it.

Dutchy - if you carry on like this, we girlies will have to consider some extreme punishment. Now just stop it, will ya.
