@Izzie,
Izzie querida, I know that you've enjoyed every minute of the royal nuptials. Glad. Mazel tov to them both. They should live and be well. They seem like nice enough kids.

I'm gonna try to get some sleep.

Yep, been thinking of you watching and enjoying the entire time. Couldn't sleep and got up to watch rather than toss and turn. It was truly lovely. She was (is) gorgeous. I thought her sister was stunning. He's no slouch either.

Somebody should tell Prince Harry to stand up straight, particularly when he's in uniform.

He's a disgrace to his regiment, slouching like a corner boy.

@McTag,
He's lucky he could wear his uniform. He didn't have to rent a tux.

@Roberta,

Hey, Mohammed al-Fayed was invited. What's that all about?

Mistake of the day....Princess Eugenie's headdress.

Hits of the day...the Middleton family. The brother read his lesson like a pro, and Pippa can carry my train anytime.

@ehBeth,
Ahhhhh - Thank you Beth!

How'd it go? Hope it wasn't too terrible.

I got to watch some of the festivities on You Tube today. I love it all...makes me feel like there are still magical moments (which there are Smile - even if the don't last) They are a nice discraction from reality sometimes.

Took me forever to get home today. The cleaning up of the snarl of power lines and trees is well under way which means the cars get to stop and go a whole lot. Makes a lump come up in my throat when I hear about the hospitals and how they are having to take pictures of the people who have died and show them around to the people who come looking for their loved ones. So difficult. I can't even imagine.

@McTag,
Some of the destruction in Tuscaloosa. So sad - that landscape will never be the same.

We are off to a friends neighborhood to help them clean up. It is unbelievable the damage done.

Hugs to you all.

@McTag,
Home for a break...

Could Kate's waist be any smaller? I submit that it could NOT....amazing. Camilla looks pretty good actually - I will begrudge her that. She ain't a spring chicken to be sure.

It was a bet??? Had to be! - I'm much relieved! I'd hate to think that they'd actually dress like that on purpose!

Otherwise, a good spectacle, appreciated by this antipodean republican!

@mismi,
Oh my goodness what destruction mismi and all so close to your domain, must have been nerve wrecking for you, the Prof and the boys. So grateful you all got through alright with so little damage. The pictures here we saw on TV were heartbreaking, what do people do when they lose everything?

Haven 't been around much as we had a house full of visitors during past week. All back to normal after tomorrow.

Did enjoy the wedding, the magnificient horses and the beautiful Cathedral. Republican at heart but impressed with the ceremony, the Poms know how to present a great spectacle. Well done. Was amazed though to see a number of bobbies armed with machine guns at one point of the procession, must have been worried about something?

Cheers from downunder.

@margo,

The sisty uglers.

Maureen Lipman, on a TV discussion this morning, said that these two (the Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie) looked like the "Stag at Bay" and a boiled sweet.

I've been thinking about this, and there's something not quite right about the Middleton family. They are too controlled, too icy calm, too perfect-looking.

I think they must be androids, or aliens. Think Men in Black. And watch for further unexpected developments.

@annis,
Hi annis, no you're not getting old, I saw some misty eyes from the ladies at my family reunion on Friday night as well. Seems to affect the women more than the men, but then again we we're watching the football. Smile

A shame of those young people losing their lives, unfortunately an all to often occurrence these days, here as well. How do you teach young people to behave on the road? Almost all fatal accidents involving young people here are caused by excessive speed.

Waves to all.
