@wandeljw,
Hey jw... thanku - yep, thing is, I feel like I lost my mind too a while back... and when something like this happens, even tho it's not important in the bigger scheme of things, just... it's the sentimental things that matter to me - don't really care too much for ya know, things with a price tag, those items are often just 'material things', i don't stress about cars or breakages or bricks and mortar per se... but things that have an emotional connection, especially stuff re my kids - well, just makes me real sad when they disappear. Nem'mind - and so it goes...

will keep hoping they'll be in London

if not, maybe one day they'll be found Neutral

kk... will quit whining now Embarrassed

edit: Hey JPB... I did find some little Christmas gifts I had hidden last year... they'll be useful for this year!

edit edit: Baz just called, not in London

THINK THINK THINK THINK THINK...

off to search again. BLECH!

@Izzie,
Strange, Izzie. When I thought that I had lost my check book, I went from room to room saying:

The patron saint of lost things. Kept repeating it out loud. I thought perhaps that the boy who had delivered the pizza may have taken it accidentally or on purpose. When I got the phone book and opened it to get the pizza house's phone number.there was my check book. I was stunned. I didn't know the patron saint of lost things was St. Anthony.

Wandel, Annie is so lovely. Please tell Katrina that I still watch Without a Trace and that I found out that Anthony La Paglia is truly awesome and Australian.

Thanks, Letty.

I was also surprised that Anthony LaPaglia is Australian. I always assumed he was from New York. Katrina worked as a casting assistant for his show. Now she is working as a casting associate for a new NBC show that will begin in January. Associate is a promotion from assistant. Katrina now has more responsibilities. The new show will be a collection of stories about modern romance. It is called "Love Bites."

MORNIIIIIIIING ALL

Hey Letty - no luck here - but, not going to worry anymore. Done. Thanku tho and glad you found your cheque book ((((((MzLetty))))))) x

Well, 'tis rather gorgeous outside - woke up to a frost covered wonderland - rather splendid - chilly chilly chilly. Brrrrrr but ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, love it Very Happy

Had a long chat with the Baz, along with some uncontrollable laughter this morning, then wrote to Auntie Mame. Have decided it's not a wise move for me to be travelling around the country right now - so the little fella and I are going to have a chilled week at Chez Iz Very Happy - I actually can't remember the last time Charlie and I weren't together with the girls for part of the holidays Sad - but, right now, just not fit enough and have a heavy few weeks in front of me so I need to get some rest in. Sheeesh, being sensible is suuuuuch a bore! Bit of a shock to the system too - ya know, being sensible. Mr. Green

Very sad not to get to see Mame again ... but there will be another time fer sure

so this is the right decision. So, heads up, onwards and upwards Razz

S-boy starts physio tonight - other than that, we have no plans for the week now - if the weather stays good, methinks a slow walk up Brentor at some stage, with Maddie-dawg, which will do quite nicely, maybe Lydford Woods too.

Tulip is off in Tunisia having a wonderful time - they'll be back at the weekend so will see them then. They are staying in caves!!!!!!!!!!!! Who knew(!) and turning bronzed and even more beautiful whilst swimming in the pool and enjoying the sunshine out there. EXCELLENT - she so deserves this break. Kids are very happy.

Charlie is good - No.4 today - then 16 to go... she's tired but good in her head at the moment - treatment will end on Nov 16th - so, willing each day onwards for her and then to recover.

Sboy is playing flute a lot at the moment. Will try and record him if he's up for that - HE'S BRILLIANT - "Liberty Bell"... over and over and over and over and over Razz Love him - he's a star. We have such a great time together - good kiddo.

Okeydokey, ought to go and get dressed - ha, what a slob me IZ - painkillers kicking in - so all is GOOD in Devon. Lovely fire going - it's amazing, it heats the whole bottom of the house - YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY - saving on the gas bills - gotta love that! <note to self - logs need chopped Confused > Might need to ask PaPa to help me out a bit there, but S-boy may give it a good go too I reckon>

Thinking of our Bosun - love you Danny - take care darlin'. x

Hope our POMcT had a good Sunday - our roast was superb! x

jw - will be looking out for "Love Bites" in the UK Razz <nope, not gonna say another word, its before the watershed Twisted Evil >

((((((Missy)))))))) - hope all's well in Dixie. Smunch those fellaz from me. xxxxx

((((((((MaMaVerby - will be around this week and hopefully we'll make contact, msn or email me and I'll be here))))))) xxx

((Blue)) ya hoo-ly xox x

Lovin' the crew - y'all have good days and I'll be back later x

There is a very good chance it will be shown on UK television also. The show has four executive producers (2 Americans and 2 Brits). The two British producers are Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan who were responsible for such movies as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary and Billy Elliot.

@wandeljw,

I've been following Claudia Winkelman's new "Film 2010" on TV here with much enjoyment. This has started well and I'm a big fan of our Clod.

Has anyone seen "The Social Network" yet?

@McTag,
Social Network is a great film.

Great acting, score, and script. Makes Mark Zuckerberg look like a lovable loser destined to live a lonely hermit the rest of his life. Portrays him as a wise cracking, mouthy coding genius as well.

The comparisons to Citizen Kane are warranted. I can also say it's better then Citizen Kane.

@tsarstepan,

Thank you. Written by the same scriptwriter as "The West Wing", it was bound to be good. Our TV pundits loved it too.

Ah well, jw, they're my kinda movies a? Sure to be a hit Razz <now just need a Hugh Grant fix and a bit of a dance Shocked> Wink

POMcT - yep, Ima Clod fan too. Have heard good things about Social Networking, but prolly not the sorta movie I would go see... (well, ya know, gotta go to the movies with someone... so there's the first stumbling block). Like a fast drama, courtroom theme, murder mystery thriller... I think Denzel Washington has to be my allstar actor <sigh - he's a dreamboat too>... hmmmm... anyhoo, I digress!

Hey Tsar - good to see ya onboard - hope things are ticking along nicely in Astoria Very Happy Ha, tried to listen to "Wham" t'other night - banned in this country too Shocked Love a little Wham to brighten up the days - and yep... will be putting a few up on the Christmas thread (ha, made me giggle, waiting for the grumpy 'ole folk to come along and whinge... ho ho ho!>

((((((((((BEAgle)))))))))) - now really, you are way behind on your chores young man and don't think I'm not taking note... there've been decks to scrub and sails to rig... what... ya know, I can't do it all - I got my hand on the tiller and it's left hand down and heading for South Australia Wink Now, you have shore leave tokens for a little longer, then, I request the pleasure of your company onboard and I think we'll have a little SWAY in a couple weeks. Good. That's sorted then. Keep well my friend - thinking of you. xxxx

Soooooooooooooooooooooo, it's yuk here today - bucketing with rain and mizzly and drizzly - Margo would feel right at home. We have been real lucky with the wonderful weather - but I think we're getting an unsettled spell for a few days. The 'ole bod is fatigued again today, it wasn't too bad yesterday, so, we've got the fire going - might havta get out a JIGSAW - dontya just love a puzzle.

Charlie is really starting to struggle with the tiredness and is a sleepy girl - which is prolly par for the course, the sleep, healing time for her. I love you Charlie - rest up when you can, there's nothing you need to do - so just rest when you can.

((Blue))

Okeydokey, gonna make a brew... tea anyone?

So happy, Charlie had a word with St Anthony Letty... and ...

FOUND IT!

Strange thing is, the bag called me over - IT DID - it was saying "pick me up, look inside" - bizarre - how in the world did that happen!

how did it get in there? I simply have no idea at all - and prolly never will know - but it materialised and... that's all that's important

so important

<phew, y'all have no idea how much it meant to me - Granny's Silver Sixpence, my St Christopher from when I travelled, my dragonfly necklace, all my gold earrings, my finger splints and... all my precious keepsakes from precious peeps - nothing of any value... but all hugely sentimental - SO SO HAPPY!>

GORGEOUS DAY TODAY - have only just had to light the fire and it's 6.30pm - no heating on - LOVELY! Razz

HA! Glad the Spring has sprung there Margo and it's warming up - we're losing all our leaves on the trees here now and yesterday was absolutely miserable - wet wet wet! I am determined to climb Brentor this week - so holding out for one more sunny day. Winter is definitely on it's way! x

MaMaVerby - oh, so sorry Eby isn't gonna be home for H-boy's birthday - but when he get's back, you can have a little celebration then. Hope all H-boys health checks are going to plan - I know it must be really difficult for you to juggle everything on your own - when do you think you will move back home? Take care hunni and keep us posted. BEAgle is off on shoreleave for a little bit - but he'll be back soon, playing games and dancing on the deck. No worries. (((MaMaVerby))) xx
