When we were in Austria, wandering among the alps, we found that the locals enjoyed the scenery as much as the visitors did.

@Izzie,
What a lovely trip through your country side Izzie, sat alongside of you all the way, not unlike when I drive to my brother in the Hills, same narrow winding road and also the milk cows, albeit ours are not Frisians but Jerseys. Is that Jack Ass smiling at you? Laughing

@Barry The Mod,
Afternoon Crew

MAGNIFICENT DAY... wowowowowowow... what a beautiful place we live in

been and done the hospitals....

yeah, yeah, y'all know what's coming - so I won't say it right now - best tell me boss first and get my head around it Confused

S-boy did great - he's gonna be having physio for 6 months and some orthotics in his shoooz and a few other things going on - but he's asked me to keep sthum, coz it's his stuff. He'll be coco - he's allowed to carry on with rugby and his coach will pull him as and when required - ie when the opposition who are monsters and could crush him - so he's quite happy. Did I metion he was commended at school... oh yeah, I did... HE WAS SOOO HAPPY - very proud MaMa! He's also got 3 parts in the school play now so rehearsals are starting after half term and then there will be the big Christmas production - yay for him.

Anyhooooooo - it was one of those days that you just had to take every opportunity you could to walk... dayum... nope, really - we went to the Dam at Burrator and drove and walked around Sheepstor - oh, and to breathe - it was superb (other than a polo mint getting stuck in Sean's airway - cough, slap back, cough - ach tung - there we go)

Took so many pics - and yeah, you've seen them all before - but the lighting was amazing, sun splitting the trees and the forest has so much feeling - depth, eerie yet... quiet, peaceful ... teeny tiny roads again and little bridges and babbling brooks with the Tors surrounding us like a lost world...enveloped in beauty.

and then the marines arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGAWSH (fans face - love a hot and sweaty marine) - ha, had to stop the car (so said the OIC and I wasn't gonna argue with him Shocked ) - asked them to smile as they ran on beside the car... they did, smile and thumbs upped - i have no shame behind my lens Embarrassed

Must work for a few hours now as I promised my boss I would do the school website blah - gonna take me a while but hope to be back later!

Chin up MaMaVerby - love you Little One - keep going.... sending you strength and love and bigs hugs to you and H-boy. xxxxxxxxxxx

@Izzie,
Morning Izzie, wishing you and S-boy both well after your Drs/Hospital visit. Pleased to know S-boy will pull up well in the long run hope the same goes for his mother. Glad S-boy is doing better at school, a bit of concentration makes all the differences, tell him the Beagle is proud of his achievements.

Have seen a lot of vebivore's Country on TV this week, lots of beautiful places but also ordinary life and the people of India, all very interesting. Today is the last day of the Commonwealth Games with the closing ceremony tonight. Been proud of our Aussie men and women, they lead the Medal table with 69 Gold, followed by India on 32, England 31, Canada 26 and South Africa 12.

Waves from down under to all the crew.

Hey Crew - Back from the Cotswods after a super chilled time - Look up The Swan Hotel Bibury - it is the sweetest place and we ate, slept and walked - beautiful! - Back to reality again - but loving all the photos that I had missed - I love Devon sister - best place in the world!

Vbv - You must try to come over to London next year - Barry will be the best host in the world and show you our great capital city - you would love it - I have watched a lot of the Commonwealth Games on TV and have enjoyed so much of it.

Baz - with you on the Chilean miners - you know that is true faith and hope and its best - may we all learn from that and the power of human nature when it is focused in a positive way - ((( Baz))

OK - tea time calls - need a cuppa - hi to Margo, Mis, Dutchy , Stormy ( LOVE the puppy) and Mc T -
Baz and Verby - big hugs
