@Tryagain,
Try,you old pedant,where would we be without your erudite knowledge?Probably half way up that famous creek,sans paddle,unable to find our way home.Good to know that the ships charts are in your safe keeping,or else we would just be going round and round in ever decreasing circles,eventually to disappear up our own stern.

@Barry The Mod,
Without a doubt Geography must have been tryagain's favourite and best subject at Primary School. Imagine if he had attended High School and University he would have been a Rhodes Scholar and possible a Nobel Prize winner instead of roaming the Appalachian Plateau Region of Ohio as a shepherd.

Harbourmaster I must agree with you, London is the place to be, I have great and ever lasting memories from my visits there. Those little corner pubs endeared me, the best fish (Atlantic Cod) and chips I ever tasted but beer ofcourse couldn't touch our Aussie brew. Laughing No doubt we'll see a lot of the place again during 2012 when you hold the Olympic Games.

Waves and ciao from downunder.

@Izzie,
Great photos Izzie, congratulate S-boy for a splendid performance, he seems to be in the thick of it and showing no fear going in hard against much bigger opponents. You can be proud of him.

I am so incredibly proud of him - he's up against it at the moment but never gives up no matter who or what stands in front of him. So very proud Very Happy

Take. Leaf. Book...springs to mind ... I should be so strong.

The team were fabulous today. They didn't win the match - but man, they played well. SWboy, #1 try scorer is strapped up with busted ribs, 6 of the team are injured and the kid who was in hospital has two bad breaks and will not play for the rest of the season. They're tough wee kids and "they've got some bite"...

which reminds me... a promise 'aint worth nothin' if it izzn't kept, right?... need to go and find some pics for the Bosun of London tooooon Wink

Speaking of "think pink", I saw one of these in the parking lot today.

Busy, busy, busy day today. My weekend to work and everyone seems to have suddenly discovered that with all their relatives coming for Thanksgiving dinner they have only 5 plates that match, no gravy boat and a turkey bigger than their current roasting pan. And of course some one called in sick. Oof. I am tired! Mr Fix-it is out picking up a Thanksgiving pizza for dinner Very Happy

@Izzie,
Thank you ever so much Izzie for the brilliant photographs I thoroughly enjoyed them. You and Charlie are a brilliant pair, wish I was 20 years younger I'll chase you both all over town. Wink The group photo is also brilliant, Harbourmaster you're a lucky man taking such a lovely bunch of ladies and kids out on the town. Good night Izzie, hope you rest well.

A quick hello to mismi, pleased you haven't forgotten us despite your busy lifestyle presently. Hope the boys enjoy their football. Ciao.

Don't know what "thanksgiving" stands for but I'll join Izzie in wishing our Canadian crew members a great day.

@Dutchy,
What Dutchy said. Izzie, when you get a chance, tell us who the people were in the group photo. You all look so happy.

Happy Turkey Day, Canada.

Well, for most people it means turkey and stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie. I work again today (oof!) but I'm off tomorrow and looking forward to a big walk to admire the autumn colours. (So to all of you thinking, "Hang on, she spends 8 hours on her feet at work and is looking forward to a hike on her day off?" it's true -- I really do need my head examined Laughing ) We're getting amazing unseasonable warm weather here so we're probably going to have a BBQ instead of using the oven. Looking forward to it -- just have to get through today! Thanks everyone for the warm wishes.

@Tai Chi,
Thank you for the explanation Tai Chi, I've learny something. You're having Christma early as we're having stuffed Turkey then. Meat pies with tomato sauce we can have every day. Smile Enjoy your walk and BBQ, sounds like a good idea on a warm autumn day.

@Dutchy,
Izzie- those pictures are amazing! As usual. Love looking at them.
Did you ever find black kitty?

I love this time of year Tai Chi...but it's hot down here too. Hate hot weather when it's supposed to be cool. But - there it is. We did decorate for Halloween yesterday. So my front porch is nice and spooky. I bought a black cat (I'll post a picture - I hope - not as good as you at doing that Iz) so every time I see it, I think of my sweet little Levi. Been without him for a year....and I still think I see him around the house. I miss my kitty.

Dadgum dog found a way out of the fence again - I should have named him Houdini. He gives me fits. FITS. He is like one of my children though...so I just have to keep fixing his escape hatches. He is so like me - much too social for his own good. Gotta' go SEE everybody!

The twinks are still undefeated in football. They are going to the championships...so that will be fun. G-baby is still playing baseball and loving it. The Professor is happily content with this time of year...football and food. Makes for a fun Saturday - even if our team did lose. We knew they would - so it was not so shocking as that loss for Alabama. Ouch.

((Dutchy)) Whatcha' up to these days dear man?

((Izzie)) Thoughts and prayers hun...always.

See y'all later...got to get breakfast going.

Hi all,

Well tis Sunday! Sboy and Fboy have had a great time together, apart from Sboy having a mega nose bleed on my stair carpet!! But the boys just kept laughing! So mop and bucket and I got cleaning!

Sgirl had friends round yesterday and she was filming her mini film for media studies! think it went ok.

Off to Southampton hospital tomorrow Fboy has his cardiac MRI, it is a long drive but gotta be done. Am still on mega antibiotics for me ear, they are making me so tired! Can't hear anything in my right ear, Doctors again on Wednesday. Said to Izzie maybe we should all be put in a shaker and shake us up mix us and maybe the good bits will stay and the bad bits will be left behind!

Oh Mismi, I love halloween and would love to see some photos of your house all dressed up and ready. We will be back just in time for halloween and probably won't have time to do the celebration properly!

Izzie just loved the photos of Sboy, he might lack in height but makes up in speed and gutso! love him.

Take care all, hugs and stuff X
