Ad-Aware Problems - anyone else use this free software?

I haven't been able to load new definitions for 34 days. I am now getting an error message when I try to connect. I just tried to download the program anew and it came with a VersionTracker software which says it's free and then doesn't let me fix the errors it finds.

What do I do? Do I shell out the money to buy an upgrade? Do I completely erase the adaware first and then try downloading again? Should I switch to a different free ad-busting software?

Lil'K, I had this problem, assuming you are using the free software...

I deleted all the old suff (add / remove programs) and simply downloaded the new version again. Problem solved...

I still like the program, but it does dive once in a while.
