I am saying the bible must be searched.
But for those who need the short course:
". . . You must love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 24:39)

Yes, but metaphorically that means love everyone around you as yourself. Literally, it means love the person in the house next to yours as yourself. I pretty sure it was meant to be the metaphorical one.
I doubt Jesus was talking about erotic love, rather principled love.
But you make the call.
Just be prepared for the consequences.

Where did I suggest it was about erotic love? I did not say that.
A101,
Well you're not a hard atheist, like me (not to be confused with strong atheist). Oh well, that's ok.
Personally I believe that we are no different from monkeys, or dogs, or plants, or bacteria, or viruses, or rocks. I shun egocentricity, a quite religious concept - we are not special; the universe does not revolved around us.
Ah well. You're still cool.
