Hi

Could someone please edit this passage meant for Year 3 students for me? Thank you very much.

Blue whales which are found in the oceans are the largest mammals in the world. They do not have fur, but smooth bluish-grey skin. The skin is covered in oil. This enables them to move swiftly through the water at speeds reaching 30 miles per hour.

Krill is the blue whales' favourite food, but they also eat crabs and fish. The whale has a huge appetite and an adult needs to eat up to four tons of krill every day. This is about four million krill. After they have had enough of food, they do not eat for several months.

Blue whales spend more time in the colder waters where they can find plenty of krill to eat. Unfortunately, when the winter comes, the water becomes too cold so they migrate south. Blue whales live in the deep oceans and close to the shores, continental shelves and ice fronts. They stay a few months in the Arctic and Antarctic However, they also move to the warm waters near the equator.

Blue whales are endangered, not only because of hunters, but they are sometimes attacked by killer whales and eaten by them. When a blue whale is sleeping, it floats just above the surface of the ocean water. When it needs to breathe, it simply floats up and takes a breath. They will usually sleep .in the middle of the day.
