I am a tremendous fan of the PD James book, but didn't have a chance to see the movie in the theatres or when it first came out on dvd...but received the DVD as a xmas gift from a good friend. I was just curious what the collective consensus was about the adaptation? I did not think I was going to like it...but I was pleasantly surprised. There are a few areas that I am troubled with but on the whole I am satisfied. It's also improved my opinion of Clive Owen and his acting ability. Any thots?
I loved the movie! Never read the book, which probably helps, but I really did love the movie. And Clive Owen is one of my new favorite actors, partly because of it.
I loved the movie too. I want to read the book.
The story and characters really stayed with me - I couldn't stop thinking about it.
