Can a Works 2006 spreadsheet table be transferred to Excel 2007?
I don't use Works, but I'm sure it can be. Excel 2007 does a quick conversion from prior Excel versions, and Works seems to be part of the family.
What do you think about the '07 releases, by the way?

Don't know yet. I'm about to install Excel; I hadn't wanted it, but since the Works spreadsheet feature is in simply horrible shape, I decided to start from Square One, all clean and neat. I hope.
The new "ribbon" thing looks a bit complicated (as are so many "simplifications") but it will be interesting to see how it all works out.
"Simplification"is apt to="New and Improved" which is apt to=omigod!
Omg is about right. At least right clicking on a cell or range gives you pretty much the same old formatting options. I have yet to find the old "print preview" which let me show and drag margines however I wanted.
I think there is some good news in here. You will probably not be handicapped in learning Excel 2007 without knowing the earlier releases. I bought the Office 2007 Suite in the student version, and am working my way through Word. I already know it better than the earlier releases, about which, I pretty well knew how to address an envelope.
Lotsa luck. Excel is actually an excellent program; I just don't happen to be conversant with the new conventions.

Do you find Word 2007 seriously different from older versions?
