HELLO GOOD PEOPLE.I AM NEW TO HERE,SO PLEASE FORGIVE IF I MAKE ERRORS.I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A MSI LAPTOP,WITH WINDOWS VISTA.I USE ADSL,AND WITH MY OLD COMPUTER,I HAD NO PROBLEMS IN CONNECTING,HOWEVER AGAIN I AM IN TROUBLE WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO CONNECT.ALL GEAR APPEARS TO BE OK,BUT SOMEHOW I AM JUST NOT GETTING THROUGH.AS A SUBSTITUTE I AM USING ORDINARY DIAL UP,BUT IT IS SO SLOW,IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.IF SOMEONE CAN HELP,WITHOUT ME AGAIN CALLING UP MY MECHANIC,I WOULD BE MUCH OBLIGED.MY SERVER BELIEVES THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE CONNECTION AND NAUGHTON 07?

O.K. You asked, so I will tell you. First, please don't write in capitals. It is considered "shouting" in internet writing. Also, "help please" is not an informative title for a thread. "Problems with connecting laptop", or something like that, would give people a lot more information.

I don't know the answer to your problem, but there are lots of technically minded people who could probably help. Good luck!

So sorry,but capitals do help when one is half blind!!!Nice wecome you gave me.I already had the best of techical people to look at my problem,but did not succeed in having my problem rectified.I only asked the question,thinking that some nice person would perhaps have an easy fix to the problem.Have a nice day.....I will.........

I think you mean Norton 07.

I do recall reading somewhere that Norton might cause problems.

Check to see which firewalls you have turned on. Vista and Norton both have firewalls and they could be conflicting with each other.
