hanging here like the unavailing catch of the day
captured in a raid on the east bank
all emotions hidden
they see the face of stone
like jesus on his cross
my job, protect a world filled with obfuscation
finding peace in the middle of turmoile
freeing hate, feeling no pain
the torture continues but I can not be broken
It has been three weeks since I seen light
my body is at war
my mind is silent
I know my brothers will come
they always do
I am a son of god
but earth is my heaven
look at my blood as it soaks my jacket like a warm rivers currant
I am willing to die for my country
for my people
I am a special forces soldier
Excuse me for being naieve but is the world really that bad?
Maybe he really is a soldier.
And in this day and age for a soldier, I can only imagine that it would indeed be that bad.
safecracker, I feel for you...an evocative image of what you know.
safecracker, There is really no way to feel another's pain, but I can identify with what you have said through a certain empathy.
All we can do here is stand and look...
Red, naive? No! It's called the courage of the young.
