I've found a useful site that's saved me some time/trouble:

Trend Micro allows you to do a free scan of your computer online with all of the latest virus definitions; the scan found and cleaned 8 different viruses off a shared computer I use.
Just thought I'd share, especially with all the worms running around right now.

I've used their scan before. I just want to note that while online scans have their place they are not a replacement of an installed AV program at all.

also 1 virus scanner is really not enough in alot of cases.
