Nah, I don't think that one will work with Kev.
Besides, it's a bit shop-soiled & thoroughly tainted by association .... Wink

No, Kevin's promotional song will be .......

Confused

Dammit, I can't think of one suitable song, off the top of my head! Neutral
Give me a minute, hinge ... I'll come up with something very spot on!

Off I go now.... thinking, thinking, thinking ..

I have purchased a new refridgerator and a microwave for mumpad courtesy of Mr Rudd and the world finacial crisis.

Interest rates are at their lowest for many years courtesy of the world financial crisis.

the job i have currently is relient on government capital for infrastructure projects (roads).

In short i believe the world financial crisis is th best damn thing to ever happen to me.

... well, there is one good thing, now that I think of it:

Those "free market" gurus & their sycophantic media supporters have shut up at last. And we don't have to listen to the bulldust they spew anymore. Good riddance, I say!

@msolga,
I'm still freaking out about petrol at 90c a litre! Awful for global warming, great for the pocket, tortuous for logic; dollar down, peak oil passed, cheaper than milk.

Glad to see dadpad on the boards again.

Surprised

Where?

Are you kidding, hinge?

Still around 6 - 8 cents over the dollar here.

In Queensland the state taxes on petrol are less, so it's always a little cheaper. The posted price at Smtihfield server (just south of the roundabout to Kuranda) is 96.5, but with my trusty coles voucher that's 92.5 cents a litre - it hasn't been that low since the first time I drove up to Cairns in July 2004. Maybe we are in a recession.

Treasurer Swan is going to love reading out the CPI figures for this quarter - rent, house prices, interest rates and petrol all falling.

... or political opportunism (which back-fired on 'em! Laughing ) ... or something really weird & ugly that was going on in Oz politics at the time!

Wow, we are so lucky to have someone give us this detail on Aussie politics. I wonder whether there is a similar forum in Australia in which this detail would be even more appreciated.

I shall not touch them...nor their beastly imperialist home brands with the sweet new containers!

Down with monopolies....

@dlowan,
They are also a biggish factor in the high price of petrol, too, I understand! (with or without consumer vouchers! Grrrr!)

Yep, that'll do the trick, Kev! Wink

Incidentally, yesterday I attended a rally in the city centre, opposing the Gaza invasion. Just one sitting (Victorian - upper house) parliamentarian spoke. Yes, you guessed it. Greens. I wish our federal government was not so worried about upsetting the US, or conservative Australian voters, for that matter. Bob Brown has my full respect for speaking out against the indefensible.
