Buyer backs out...now what?
In this situation, I'm the seller ?- I'm selling my Manhattan co-op because you can only subject for two years. I've accepted an offer in late May and the buyers have been totally uncooperative from the beginning! Now we are close to closing and the buyers "forgot" to file important paperwork with managing agent, further delaying the closing by a week.
What recourse do I have as a seller who wants to back out and move back into the Manhattan apt? I know I may owe the broker her commission, but could the buyers sue me?
