------this post is going to have spoilers---------

What was wrong with Zodiac? What does that mean about the ending of the X Files, I'm not quite following that...? Are you talking about how there wasn't a concrete answer to who the Zodiac was? because that's just the way the case worked out, I mean, it was about the real-life case after all, so they couldn't really make up a new ending. Plus, it was pretty clear who did it, even though they couldn't convict the guy.

I live in Britain Roxxxanne and yes I admit to sitting through this turkey for two and a half hours because it was three 'O' clock in the morning and there was nothing else to watch.

What's worse I paid $8 dollars for it Crying or Very sad

Um... the point of the film was that it was an interesting case even if they never convicted the Zodiac. It isn't necessarily bad for a movie not to give you alll the answers, ya know.

Had it been an hour long documentary cyphercat it may have been interesting, or if the writers had had used a bit of poetic licence it could have been a passable film although I find it difficult to believe the main investigator was a cartoonist.

In the case of the Black Dahlia (Elizabeth Short) was murdered 60 years ago and the cops never came up with a solitary lead and haven't done to this day, so what is the point watching that film?

I did like the original movie, as a matter of fact. I didn't see the remake since it didn't get very good reviews.

I'd like to see Zodiac - did find it an interesting case, at least to read about.

Black Dahlia was probably even worse than Zodiac. The problem with both movies is that they are based on real events that are unsolved mysteries.

Actually, it was an hour-long documentary on A&E's Unsolved Mysteries which was very interesting.

I, too, just recently sat through Zodiac and found that the documentary was really much more interesting and informative.

The movie jumps overboard during an insane third act that threatens to undercut the accomplished filmmaking that precedes it. It's such an engaging ride beforehand, though, that the freaky climax is forgivable.

2/4Dahlia feels like two completely different movies accidentally smooshed together. It doesn't work, though it does become more entertaining as it gets more ludicrous and convoluted.

2/4"The Black Dahlia" is so cavalier about its plot and characters, so palpably uninterested in giving the audience a coherent, resonant story, that De Palma's noir exercise becomes an exercise in frustration.

The Black Dahlia was a dozer, until the last about 45 minutes of the movie when it derailed. Someday, some writer and director will make a great film with this material.

The Black Dahlia case itself is pretty scary. I mean, how demented do you have to be to not only kill someone, but to take the time to drain all their blood?
