I received a CD made from family photos, but it doesn't show anything when I put it in the slot. It works fine on another computer, BTW, so I don't think it's the disc.
On the other hand, other discs do work on my computer. It's very confusing, and I wonder if there is an answer.
My computer is an hp model a1550y, and I run Windows XP Home.
As always, simplest language, please.
A lot of burners have a setting to "Play on all CD drives"
Either you have an old drive issue with your computer, or a CD that will only play on certain drives.
CD won't run
Rockhead - I'll look into that "all burners" possibility. However, I'm coming round to the feeling that Israeli discs may not be as versatile as ours - unless, of course, they're all made in China in the first place. I use really inexpensive ones from Staples for my own records, as well as commercially made music discs, and I never checked any of their origins, but maybe they wouldn't work in Jerusalem. Or maybe just this brand of disc is inappropriate. Or maybe it's just a lemon to begin with. Or. . .
I remember being sent a video cassette years ago by this same cousin, and it didn't work either.
