How often are the maps updated especially the UK ones?

Some are more than 3 years old. My daughter's house in Portishead was built in 2004 but Google Earth still shows a brown field building site. Windows Live Local shows the house though.

They dont fly aerials every week you know, Terraserver.microsoft is another map site that I like better because it cross indexes the very aerial photo to a topo map. (I dont know whether they have the service available for UK though)
