I hope this is an acceptable category for my question:
I need to write a poem for St. Nicklaus.
I need your imagination...
What could happen to him on his way to the children.
Something exciting, dangerous, funny...
Suppose a new computer system was being installed at the North Pole.
Perhaps the programmers have a heavy bias for girls? Or boys? Or polar bears?
Perhaps electronic toys and cell phones cause computer glitches?
Perhaps the elves weren't properly trained in computer use?
Perhaps....
I'll give that a think...
Thanks!
Are you writing FOR St. Nick
or ABOUT St. Nick?
(Heard an interesting NPR interview the other day that says the North Pole should be moved to nearby China, since that is where most of the world's children are centrally located. )
I was writing FOR him...
Was used last weekend, unfortunately I wasn't even there to hear it.
Tonight there will be a Neptulaus (Neptune instead of Nikolaus) at the pool.
For some reason that poem was written in an hour.
Can'T wait to see it in action!
In case somebody has more ideas, keep them coming, I will need two more for next year.
I'll keep the China story in mind, too, thank you!
