@Izzie,
weird, sorta lop-sided moon up there tonight

I wonder if the ladies got into the bourbon and branch.

@Izzie,
Ah. It looked rather "fullish" in my southern hemisphere sky last night, Izzie. Though hard to tell for certain ... a very misty & clouded over sky, it was.
OK, I'll do it again, then! Gotta get the timing of these things right! Smile

@msolga,
The sky was light... the moon was so big, but the black heavy clouds which are moving very fast, allow only a glimmer...

aroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

I miss Noddy <---------------------------------------------------------------------this much ---------------------------------------------------> and some...

So I'm sitting on my couch watching tv. Some weird kinda searchlight in the sky? Nope. It was the full moon. So bright and light I mistook it for something else. Thought of this thread. Didn't howl. But was impressed as hell with that moon. Definitely the howly kind.

Yes, I know, Roberta!

It was an absolute whopper last night! Stunning.

Definitely a Noddy moon!

Me, I did a quiet-ish (but heart-felt) arooooooo in my backyard. Urban settings are not conducive to the super expressive variety, sadly.

brilliant blue shadows in the backyard last night

it's going to be a brilliant full moon - even if it does snow

Moon We Look To You

Moon, you have a shade of blue tonight -
Is it something that you saw or heard?
Only yesterday, your tone was proud and bright:
Yellow silver, full, and so assured.

Moon, despite the clarity of sky,
Metaphors of cloud that fluff with grey
Drift across your rounded face to spy;
Feeding back, there's awfully much to say.

Moon, you have a role to play up there,
We below must bear the earthly pain.
Duty bound, we shoulder sorrows fair -
You are free from our grotesque disdain.

Moon, we depend on you to shine
When the sun retires down below.
Add to that your grandest role divine:
Tidal Lord, to keep the seas in tow!

Moon, I hope you take to heart our plea -
Needless is the reason for your blue.
Beaming, you should give the night its glee:
We're despairing - so we look to you.

Think sglass and I might take a drive out to the rim of the Kilauea caldera tonight and watch the full moon over the Hale'mau'mau crater which is growing pinker and pinker with red-hot lava flow these nights.
