Ok, I know I'm dense, but I still can't get the avatars to work. I want to use one on A2K gallery. Can you give me Very Simple Instructions about how to do this? Hitting submit button doesn't work. Thanks

Thanks. Some folks have really cool avatars, like yours. Where do they get them if they don't choose one on A2K? IS there a site somewhere with 6KB avatars?

I'll submit a ticket to the help desk.

Gracias - nice of you to welcome me!

One of the most common problems with avatars is the size of the image or the file size.

Confirm that the avatar you are wishing to use (if it is not from the A2K avatar library) is no wider than 90 pixels and no taller than 100 pixels. The file size must also be under 6k.

I had a problem with avatars in the gallery, some time ago. Instead of selecting and submitting, I had to right click the avatar and copy the img code just as if I were using an avatar from an outside source. You might give that a try.

Okay, let's clarify what it is you are attempting to do.

Are you attempting to upload or link to an image outside of the A2K website or are you attempting to use one of the avatars in the A2K avatar library?

Different methods are needed for each. Trying to combine them and use them will confuse you and will not work.

I had a problem getting an avatar from the gallery. In the end I had to get admin to do it for me. couldn't get it to work, and I knew what I was doing.

Dadpad, the avatar I want is stock A2k. I don't know if you would recognize it as such but it is a rainbow (since I am from Hawaii).

It's on A2K gallery. I chose the avatar I wanted, clicked submit and nothing happens. I've done it several times; still nada.

So now what? Laughing

I did register yesterday so that I could send a ticket to the help desk. I have a V E R Y S L O W dial up and it takes forever to get into my email so I haven't checked yet to see if help desk replied and ok'd my registration. Sigh.

Thanks for the link, jespah! I appreciate that they will try & download the avatar for me. That should do the trick. Confused

Terrific CJ. Now all I gots to do is figure out how to move it. I'm not exactly a2k literate about this stuff. I'm going to take a course when I get back to the Big Island. I can go to the University of Hawaii for zip.

Getting to be a senior citizen does have its perks.

Thanks again.
