With the election looming and Mr rudd (sp?) seemingly a more independent thinker than Mr Howard , does Mr Howard stand to win yet again?
Id like to see him lose for selfish reasons. It would serve as a repudiation of the Bush likking friendship that Howard has seen fit to promote. Very selfish , I know, but I need a sign that says that the world is sick and tired (and scared)of the America of the first decade of the millenium.
PS, you guys dont have a Bill of Rights yet? Wanna borrow ours?
It's not at all selfish of you, farmerman.
WE want to see the last of Bush & his little Oz puppet as much as you do!
DESPERATELY, trust me!
Yay! Change is gonna come, yes it is!
22 seats is a big margin.
Estimated spending - Day 23
COALITION: (Howard)
TOTAL: $49,379,950,000
LABOR: (Rudd)
TOTAL: $51,413,905,000
I'm voting for the greens candidate in our seat. Cant trust the libs Dont know the labour canditate. he greens candiate is part of a leadershp group my wife.
Nice lady.
New buzzword

sometimes splitting ones vote out of its main job (which hopefully is to retire mr Howard) can be countereffectual.
I sometimes vote libertarian or (rarely , green) when theres no big national issue that requires somones retirement.
Well, Im hopin a long and healthy retirement for Mr Howard. Sorry for butting in but were all part of one big planetary neighborhood anymore, I cant vote in ALaska but Im always cringing at some of the yahoos those folks send to Congress.

You can vote Green etc here without splitting the important vote....you can direct your vote to Labor after your Green, or whatever, and it will go to Labor if the Green doesn't get up.
ahhh, so you can have the best of two worlds. You can send a message that youre not satisfied with everybody, but, if need be, my vote will be distributed thus...
Had that been in effect, the entir Bush years (shudder) would have been a nonexistence
Our whole system is different though.
Eg...the Prime Minister is the leader of the party that can form government, alone or in colaition.
No president.
Preferential voting system.
Its important to me personally, to vote for the local candidate that I feel can represent me and my electorate the best. political parties don't really come in to it.
