Here's asking for some help.
I am trying to call a UK person on her cell through my cell, but it's not working out.
Anybody have any idea what is UK's country code specifically for cell phones?
India's outgoing international code is 00 and UK's country code, to my knowledge, is 44. So here's what I am dialing:
00 44 [mobile no.]
My mom makes international calls to the US and UAE through this phone regularly so there's nothing wrong with the network.
Thanks!
If you are calling from the USA I think it is 011 + 44 ??
Edit: I found this link
http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/
Hope it helps.
Hi, as I mentioned, I am making the call from India. UK CC is 44, but it could be they have a different code for cell phones.
Hope MG walks in!
Thanks for the link. I am still not sure how to go about that with a cellphone.
Maybe she gave it to you in the form a UK resident would need to dial it. All UK mobile phone numbers (we don't call them "cell" phones) start with 07 if the number is dialled in the UK, and if you are dialling from outside the UK you leave out the first 0.
so if a UK mobile phone number is 0770 751 0125, then from India you would dial 00 44 770 751 0125.
I love you, Contrex! It worked! Can't tell you how happy I am!
