On an older laptop. My girlfriend has a HP, and by looking at it, it has Windows ME. I have a Netgear wireless card I'd like to install, however the software disc that came with it is cracked.
How do I install this? The computer doesn't automatically recognize it, and I can't find an option to connect to a wireless network.
Can anyone do a step by step?
Mucho gracias, computer geeks.
Dunno, Slaps...
I'm too busy being gorgeous to know about computery thingies.
Just keeping your post 'up there'.
Can't you download the drivers from the net?
Wish I could be of more help.

Slappy - take thee to the nearest computer fix-it store and they can tell you whether it can be done.
When I start fixing thilngs I usually destroy them.
Why don't you search the Net for the software? Might be out there on the netgear site. D/l, then burn to a CD. Ought to do the trick.
Why don't you buy a new one?
I hear your filthy rich.

For her? No. And I'm not close to filthy rich either...
I'll try to find the software online and burn it to the disc for now.
