pick a card

Ummmm yeah? And then what happens, Mr. Wizard?

Went to a diner not too too long ago with my kids. Theres a guy there going from table to table making balloon animals and doing dumb card tricks.

Think of a card. I can tell you the name of your card. No, no, whisper it to you father (kid whispers 'three of clubs')...

The name of your card is...

'Dave!'

No? Well, what is you card then? Three of clubs? (pulls out his deck of cards... shows the first card (not the three of clubs)... turns it over. The back of the card has the name Bill written on it) You see? I like to have names on all of my cards... (shows a couple more... Shirly, Bruce, Mary etc. Then he turns the deck over, loking at the faces... untill he finds the three of clubs... flips it over and on the back is written 'Dave'.)

Now, how'd he do that?

he bribed the kid to say what he wanted.. simple
