I picked up this optical mouse from a big recycle store a couple of months back. 300yen ('bout 3 bucks) so I was a bit dubious, but it works damned fine. But today I finally got around to downloading the proper Logitech drivers for it, and it turns out it's a force feedback mouse!
Whatthefuckisthat I wondered, but it's pretty cool. Every button or link on a web page you hover over, the thing vibrates. It's got a bunch of different feedback 'themes', right now I'm on Aftershock which gives me a clunk when I first pass onto a button, then a scraping feeling while I move across it. Cool eh? The wonders of the Japanese recycle shop!
Hmm, mabbe dis kin be a thread 'bout weird ways to use computers/electronics, and ze weird things people figger out to do with them, or something like that...
