Firefox 2.0.0.7
I'm trying to download a pdf. Supposedly 850 kb or so from here
http://www.forestrystandard.org.au/files/4708S3.pdf
I am able to rapidly download 550/ 600 kb then the download stall. If i try to scroll past the first page the computer freezes and I need to shut firefox. down using Task Manager.
Any insights?
Opens fine for me in IE7.
I've had users with problems opening PDFs within browsers. Usually can fix it by either deleting all temporary Internet files, or sometimes there's a folder on the desktop called %temp% that needs to be deleted.
Alternately, you can save the document locally (right-click, save as...) and open it with Adobe Reader without using the browser.
Thanks DD I have it now using IE7.
I'll try deleting temp files and try it again with FF just to see if that makes a difference.
No different after deleting temp files and emptying the cache.
It seems to be a problem with firefox. I recall having similar issues a year or so ago but thought it was fixed.
Thanks for the tip on "save as".
