Heh heh, yes, I am on the mend according to the doctors. They are in fact a bit amazed at my progress.

With a curry, I like to start with chopped onions, garlic and ginger, get that going, add the curry powder, cook it out to mellow, then add the rest of the ingredients and simmer slowly.

Cav; i'm shocked (pleased, and shocked) pleased at the continuing progress of your return to health, and shocked at your use of "curry powder" !!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

all the best curry aficionados make their own; even i have been known to dabble with the grinding and blending of coriander, nutmeg, ................and so on.

yeh but you never get it to taste the same time after time. Im not gonna screw with curry from scratch. I needed to know that by frying up the curry before its added to the sauce is a must do.

I get a series of curry blends from Pennzys and they have hot , sweet, mild, satay, etc.
I just stay away from McCormick, that stuff is just like sawdust, no flavor

Cav-good deal about your rapid mending.

Just a note for Bo, it depends on what kind of curry you are making. West Indian currys, for example, always use curry powder, so the choice of brand becomes more important than making it from scratch. I do both, depending on the region.

Hey, Cav; do you know that some random artist has the words

"The thought of licking or biting one kinda freaks me out." --Cavfancier

on their webpage?! I always knew that you deserved a personality cult; but to choose those words above everything else that you've said, I find quite disturbing...

That had better not be on my personal webpage, or somebody is going to get an ass-kicking. If it was here, from another thread, it was a joke, as I am wont to do. Can you explain further, or at least provide the context? Seriously, if this was on my webpage, I have major concerns. Confused

What weird, weird people! They took a simple comment about not liking 'tootsie rolls,' and turned it into.. well.. Do you even recognise it as a person from A2K?

Sounds good to me. Can we charge more if we throw in a Tootsie Roll? Laughing (I totally forgot about where that quote came from). Incidentally, I didn't recognize the site owner as anyone from A2K.
