I had brie in France last year...much creamier. (Of course, ALL their cheeses were better than US.) Would raw milk vs. pasteurized be similar?
Then we must DEFINITELY add it to the menu!
Can we get raw-milk brie in the US?
(We can't import most French cheeses because our FDA, Federal Dep't. of Agriculture, won't allow non-pasteurized cheese.)
My guess is no, Eva, but it's okay, border dogs only sniff for bombs these days
Well then, we must move this dinner party to a more sophisticated venue. Hmph.
Just found your thread on this under "Food & Drink." Very interesting...
Which thread...the Michael Schmidt one?
[we could invite Eva; just one little airfare]
oops, it's virtual Venice!
Eva could ride her shell over...
I would be happy to do that. But seriously...Toronto? I'm sure it's a lovely city, but is that truly where the Goddess of Love should entertain? I was thinking more of Paris, or perhaps one of the Greek islands. But perhaps BoGoWo is right about Venice. Ah, Venice....
What about me I'm LEGAL! OOPs wrong thread!
There's nothing wrong with your threads Red;
Versace i assume?
Everyone is invited to fantasy island, but I don't have a midget...
Oh dear. I suppose that means we'd have to perform miracles for ourselves. What a drag.
I have made my decision. Everyone is invited to Virtual Venice, with one stipulation: You must believe in Love.

(I will start a new thread.)
(I have to throw in a few questions for the star... but, until I can, I thought that I would bump this up, so that other people could.)
do you cook your curry powder before you use it or do you just dump it in
well now, that was a bit of a contextual disaster! eh?
farmerman wrote:do you cook your curry powder before you use it or do you just dump it in
If you must know, curry powder has to be cooked out with the base ingredients.
thats what Im doing wrong. So Ill make a curry "roux" and then add this to a recipe, is that the way?
I note that this thread is a lmost a year old. Cav, I sincerely hope that in the spirit of a haapy birthday thread, the only thing of you that remains even slightly sick, is your twisted wit
i think what Cav is saying, is throw out the curry powder, and buy a spice grinder!
[also good for grinding up your 'wit's end'!]
