Hello,
After some confusion in my couple, I sent my boyfriend a letter about a week ago. He hasn't answered yet and I am scared he never does it.
I would like to find a quote to inspire him, to encourage him to think about our relationship and to break this silence. I just want to stimulate his answer softly. I think a quote would be good for that. Do you have an idea?
Thanks a lot. I need to guide him to this idea...
Bye bye.
Here's one that I have found to lead to an answer:
"What did you think of the letter that I sent you last week? Any thoughts you would like to share?"
Yes, it is what I mean. It is a good idea. However, I was thinking about something a bit softer. I don't want to put pressure on him, so that he thinks about the answer and chooses the right one. You see what I mean?
I was thinking about a quote about silence or communication to inspire him, but couldn't find the right one.
Thanks for your ideas. I am waiting for your brillant ideas!
Butterfly--
In other words you want an answer. You want to pressure him subtly so that he doesn't realize he's being pressured to choose your version of a "right" answer.
Is this guy a damn fool? Do you really want a man you can guide/herd?
He hasn't answered your letter. Either he's shy and doesn't know how to word something positive or he's a nice guy--but not interested-- and doesn't want to hurt your feelings with a rejection.
I'm with Squinney here. Be honest and straight-forward. I'm guessing your first letter was romantic and the result is your boyfriend is procrastinating about an answer. A teasing, romantic follow-up query is likely to bring more procrastination from him and frustration for you.
Good luck.
Yeah I know what you mean. I don't really know what's in his mind.
My letter was not really romantic. I just explained what was my point of view about our relationship. I was planning to send him an email and be more straight-forward in few weeks, to tell him what I think of his silence.
But I wanted to make him think through a quote, not necessarily romantic.
Thanks for your opinions.
Thanks a lot. I will wait a few weeks, and then let him know about the situation. And I will think about what I will write, to give a sense and to make him think. Byebye
