Mac OS X problems! safe boot freeze!

I've just recently tried to install the creative suite 3, design premium. Only to find PS, AI, and InDesign don't open when I try to open them. I called customer service, I was told to reboot in safe mode, but the computer froze after I'd logged in. No apple menu, no dock, no nothing. My question is...what could this be? How can I fix it?
