This is driving me to
! Can anyone tell me how to get .asp to run on Apache Http Server (1.3.28)?
Thanks!!!!!
Ok, sorry about the PM, I asked you to post it on the boards and did not know you had already done so.
ASP is a language that I am not too familiar with but I am nearly positive that it requires an engine to run. Edit: yeah, I'm positive.
So Apache can't process the ASP for you and you will need to isntall ASP on your computer if you want it to serve ASP pages.
I'm not sure if you are familiar with PHP but it's the same deal.
That being said I am not sure that the software you need is free. I do not use ASP because many times it isn't and I use open source platforms.
Engine?
Thanks, Is that a difficult process? I am pretty good at html and some scripting but servers, etc are not really my thing. Are there any complete packages that do this?
I've never installed ASP but I don't think it would be difficult. From what I hear installing .NET is about as hard as installing anything else.
Give it a try and see how it goes.
