It's 4:30 in the afternoon and I've got all I can do to keep my head up. A nap sounds wonderful, but then I may lay awake all night. Tea? Diet Coke? It's kinda late for caffeine for the same reasons. Do you nap? Do you have a cutoff time beyond which you slog through the rest of the day?

Let's give up the fight, J, put our heads down and let go.

I want to wake up with a computer screen full of fs.

ppfzzzz, the screen is so wide now Evil or Very Mad

Yes, I love to nap, although I not always can if I want to.
10 minutes is all it takes, and if I am really feeling sluggish (especially
in the summer heat), I drink an espresso and nap for 10 minutes.
The caffeine usually kicks in around that time too, and 15 min later I am as good as new.

Yes, JPB, but not until I was over 50. When I nap I always set the alarm and seldom sleep longer than 30 to 45 minutes because I will not be able to sleep at night if I sleep longer.

Like CJ, I used to get by on 10 or 15 minutes and that was when I had little kids!

No guilt here. There are too many studies about the great benefit of naps.

I usually fall asleep on the couch around 9:30. Mr B wakes me on his way to bed and I go right back to sleep. I call it my pre-bed nap.

I seldom sleep in the afternoon. Today could be one of those days.

I wake up fairly early and often stay up late. I don't work at a firm where I have to look sharp at all times anymore, so I can take a nap when I want to. It usually doesn't go more than an hour, and is usually in the afternoon.

My most productive time of day has always been around 4:30 in the afternoon on, and that's still true. That's inconvenient if you have a family life going strong, but works out ok for an older person like me.

Heh, my most productive time is the first hour of the morning which usually begins around 5:30 or 6:00 am.

My feet hit the floor running, and it's all downhill from there.

Nothing like a good nap. Had one with my head down on the kitchen table this afternoon.

When I'm tired and need to stay awake, I shower. Just a quick dowsing helps to sort of slap me awake.

Good point, littlek. That would require getting out of my chair though. Big decisions make me weary.

That used to be my most productive time, too.

But now, my most productive time is......................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (if I'm at all productive, we're ahead!) Shocked
